The color when poured into a pint glass was a slightly hazy amber with a reddish hue. The smell of roasted malts, hops, with a hint of candy. The taste was of malts, hops, with a hint of molasses and toffee. This ale had a thick, sweet/tart finish, with a fair amount of flavor. Not something I'd buy again, but, also nothing I wouldn't try again if offered!

Poured from 500ml bottle to New Belgium globe. Straight from cellar.
A - This beer poured about a two finger off-white head. Body is a very deep reddish amber. Very clear. Head sticks around for a while. Some lacing.
S - Sweet malts as you would expect. Some chocolate and molasses. I'm getting some fruits on the sweet end, but can't put my finger on it.
T - Again with some chocolate and cocoa flavors. Very harsh hops. Not all that pleasant as the hops and malts and whatever other flavors are in there don't mesh well together. Just seems like a mess.
M - A little light and average carbonation. Very dry.
O - Not digging on this beer. Just a bad combination of flavors and there doesn't seem to be any other qualities that stand out.
