Not bad for an everyday, home-from-work kinda beer. Pale yellow pour into a glass. Its better than most of its contemporaries, ie Miller Lite, Coors Light, etc. Can be pounded rather easily. Nothing special, but then again it isn't trying to be either.

Definitely recommend if a 6 pack is in order. Better than any of the miller, bud, mainstream products. I was delightfully surprised, especially for it being on tap.
Now I have to ramble since you have to hit 250 characters... Side note, had this at BD's in South Side Works and it went well with my stir fry selection.

I saw this beer when I was working in Latrobe and didnt think much of it till i saw it at a distributor at home and bought it just because it was there. I thought it tasted alot like Lions head but with alittle more flavor. The fact that it was more alcoholic was a plus. The beer is lighter and easy to drink with a nice crisp flavor its much better out of a bottle and the same price as the cans. Its definately good for a party or just if you want to sit around your house and drink. I drink it alot because its cheaper than coors bud and miller and isnt part of some giant souless conglomeration. It has become one of my favorite beers.

This is an excellent beer, especially for its price. It is the return of an old time Pittsburgh classic and it delivers on taste and fullness unlike any other local brew. Its a beer for any occasion that calls for a lighter but fuller beer in both appearance and taste.

Had this in a bottle and on tap and suprisingly both were very good.
Appearance - gives off a nice bright color with a great white head
Smelll - has a great aroma to it, very clean. Smells fresh when you open each one.
Taste - goes down so smooth and has a good body, I was shocked. Can drink a lot of these in one sitting.
Mouthful - has a little sweet bite to it, that appealed to me and finishes with no aftertaste.
Overall - been hearing good things about this Pilsener so had to give it a try and must say lived up to the hype.

Great local beer out of Pittsburgh. Very smooth and very reasonably priced. It's a lighter pilsener but still packs the punch with 5% alcohol. More of a beer for sitting and enjoying rather than drinking in large social settings. New LT is also worth a try.

Being from Pittsburgh, I remember hearing a while ago that this beer was being brought back. It's the winning combination between a heavy and light pilsner. A light feel that doesn't fill you up and yet a full, rich taste that lingers in the best way. And need I even mention the price. Only about 16 or 17 dollars at your average beer distributor for 24 bottles or 30 cans. I see almost no reason not to go with Duquesne if you're looking to drink a quality, low-priced pilsner beer. I read the bio on their website and it's pretty interesting as well so I have zero problem supporting a quality local beer. It's springing up on tap out here in PA too which is excellent. All pros no cons for this brew

Glad to see Duquesne back in the 'Burgh again. A clear yellow brew with a slightly sweet aroma upon opening the bottle, and a fruit-sweet taste that is very pleasing. This is a beer I drink when having just beer or with some salty snacks. Have had it also on draft in a pint glass and the characteristics were the same.
Certainly several steps above long-time rival Iron City.
