Bottle: decent very dark green bottle, okay label. A bit boring.
Appearance: mid-golden in colour with a one-centimetre bubbling head that fades fast.
Aroma: fairly light APA aroma, with some herbal / floral hop overtones. Pleasant.
Taste: same herbal and floral hops, with some grains and a touch of honey. Not unpleasant, but neither is it mind-blowing.
Aftertaste: a light bitterness carries through. Again quite light.
Mouth feel: quite a light body on it, with a light- to- moderate carbonation. Could do with some more carbonation, to be honest.
Overall: the McCashin family seem to want to ask ridiculously high prices (AU$65 per case in 2012 for all three of their beers) and they are all fairly average. The price makes these beers almost insultingly ridiculous.

330ml bottle poured into pint glass 13/8/12 thanks Mikey for dragging this one around the planet
-from notes
A pale golden yellow with lots of carbonation but only a thin film for foam but it manages too leaves a few partial rings of lace
S soft sweet grains with a mild fruity aspect and some purple candy
T dry cereals add a little too the mix, almost has a cornflake thing going for it, slightly sweet with some white grape
M light but has more then enough carbonation too give it some life, sweet grainy finish lingers for a while
O not bad for a session beer, light and easy too drink
could use a little more hops as the malt seems too be in control, could be better but not at all bad

Great bottling/presentation.
Has that pale ale winter pine sort of flavor when you drink it down. It's a little sweeter than most pale ales, and doesn't have the greatest nose, but all in all a good beer.
I sampled this with half a dozen other beers and this definitely stands out as a good beer.

Pours a sweaty yellow golden colour, quite hazed, with a large, loose-bubbled head of white, that settles down to a pond-scummy film. Lacing is minimal. Body has some pleasant heft behind it leaving some fine carbonation when tilted. Looks a bit lacklustre overall, however.
Nose is faint grain, with a whiffy pong of earthy, old hops. Slight saltiness to it, even, giving an hint of the seashore. On top of it all, it's very weak and faint. It's so bland and generic, with just a hint of unpleasantness to it.
Taste is quite awful. Initial empty water sensation is tainted with more of those dry, old, earthy hops over the top, before hints of glucose water and corn-like twangs assault the afterpalate. Hops stay present throughout, morphing into a painful metallic squeal on the back.
Feel is light, but with a hint of slickness. Not bad, but it has trouble doing favours to the flavour anyway.
Pretty awful beer this one. It somehow manages to be really dull and generic, while also grating and unpleasant. New Zealand does so much better than this.

Pours gold/amber with a small fading head.
Nose shows honey and floral hops. Simple but nice.
Flavours include the same spicy and floral hops along with some honey. Finishes with a mild, plain bitterness.
Could use a little more carbonation.
Seems more like a pilsner than an APA.

330ml bottle purchased from Dan Murphys, Top Ryde and poured into a 10oz middy glass.
Pours a pure gold colour with a clear appearance. Has a two plus finger head of white foam made up of well defined small bubbles. Good head retention throughout.
Smell is slightly sweet with a touch of honey backed with a herbal grass aroma.
Taste is a touch grassy and herbal, staying true to the smell. Otherwise a little underdone.
Mouthfeel has a little bit of bitterness along with a hang around sweetness. Body goes well for the style.
Overall a decent brew, but not striving to do much above the bare minimum to differentiate itself.

Thanks to Jim at Sherbrooke for the advance preliminary sample of this bottle, soon to be available in Alberta. From a 330 ml brown bottle, pours out a hazed deep gold hue, creamy white head that settles to a thin cap.
Mild clean, crisp, bready malt on the nose, along with equally mild spicy, leafy, grassy hops.
The hops are most prominent in the flavour, citrusy, a little herbal, with some puckering bitterness on the finish and in the aftertaste, while the malt really isn't much of a player within the overall flavour profile.
Medium-bodied mouthfeel, smooth and slick texture, moderate carbonation.
Drinkable but not overly memorable or noteworthy, it still provides a mild hop fix all the same.

Had this at Cable Bay Vineyard (I was in the mood for something other than wine) on Waiheke Island.
A- Pours a slightly hazy golden color with about two fingers of head.
S- Nice light malt scents, with some hints of fruit.
T- Again the fruit flavors come through, but is nicely balanced by the hops.
M- Light-to-medium bodied with nice carbonation.
D- Overall, a really nice beer. Was a nice find after a couple of days exploring New Zealand's basic lagers and other "export" beers.
