Dark brown with a few tinges of red throughout and a foamy tan to off-white coloured head on top that fades from about a thumb size to that of a thick looking lacing.
Medium strength nose to this one with some light citrus and pine, not the as strong as you’d get from a standard IPA but still enough to be noticed. There is some spice and fruity aromas fighting for contention as well along with very mild grapefruit and maybe even some light malts.
Light citrus and a bit more pine and grapefruit than the nose suggested along with a little peach and maybe even some mango. A good amount of bitterness right at the tail end and some roasted malts although these where quite light.
Medium bodied, smooth and with a bittersweet taste to it and moderate carbonation backed up with some citrus notes and a nice crisp finish and lingering bitter aftertaste.
Quite a nice tasting beer and one that I would definitely try again. The flavours were pretty well balanced and the beer went down rather well.
