12oz bottle i got in july 2012, poured into a orval goblet
a dark dark dark brown, somewhat see through. there is a slight slight hint of red to it. the head is a very light brown and smal. a small ring/crown is left over and slightly blotchy remaining head. very pretty.
s OMG! its good. fresh hops, slight hint of chocolate, fresh cut grass, pine, oak, citrus
t big and bold! this beer starts off very piney, with a heavy citrus and hoppy middle with a little bit of oak. the ending is a tiny bit of bitter chocolate and malt with pine coming through a lot. the aftertaste lingers for a long time and is also of pine, oak, malt and citrus.
m sharp and crisp. a good amount of carbonation, stays on the tongue and in the back of the mouth.
o this brewery rocks. they are very very local to london and small but if you are ever in london, drink as many as you can. they never duplicate a recipe and there are new beers every week.
i highly highly highly recommend anything they make.

Bottle shared by Adam, thanks dude! Into a snifter.
Dark brown, unfiltered it appears with a beige head. Thick lacing and good retention. Nose is quite hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, pine and some roast and chocolate flavours. Really an IPA first and foremost, the malt character is certainly secondary here (eyes closed, I would've thought this was a straight up IPA). Sweet and bitter on the palate, with certainly more malt character here. Grapefruit, pine, orange and other citrus, with coffee, roast and a bit of chocolate. Medium body and carbonation. A really well done Black IPA, although this is probably closer to being an India Brown Ale or something.

Very fresh bottle shared by Weebay. Thanks!
A - Cloudy medium brown colour with a small amount of white head.
S - Citrus, pine and some chocolate in the background. Not a whole lot of the roasted malts are evident in the nose but a big aroma overall.
T - A big bitterness up front. Citrus, floral and herbal hop flavours. Some light roast and chocolate but the malts are definitely the background flavour here.
M - Medium body. Moderate carbonation.
