On tap. Poured a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, grapefruit and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruitiness and bitter with a toasted caramel backbone.

Silly Brits...you can't use citra in a malt bomb IPA.

6.7% ABV. Cloudy/muddy amber due to overpouring. Thin wispy head.
Full on Citra aroma. Typical citrus and tropical fruit bouquet.
Flavour follows the smell but this one is unexpectedly sweet before the bitter finish.
Tangy and refreshing. Moderate body.

Quite dark. Slightly syrupy with orange marmalade hoppiness. Burned toast backbone. Pretty sharp. Decent but a fairly generic tasting American IPA.

330ml bottle.
L: Hazy, dark gold with one finger of creamy head and spotty lacing.
S: Zesty, pithy citrus.
T: Peach, orange and lemon rind up-front with a gently resinous aftertaste.
F: Velvet smooth mouthfeel with light carbonation and a rich, drying finish.
O: Amazing how Kernel get so much complexity from a single hop. A beautifully crafted, highly approachable, moderately bitter west coast-style IPA. Massively refreshing and just a hint of alcohol warming from the 7.1% ABV.

12 oz bottle at Craft beer Co. Clerkenwell in London. Bottled 08/25/15, consumed 10/08/15.
Pours a hazy orange brown color with one inch white head and moderate carbonation evident. Citrus hops, pine hops, grapefruit, fruity malts, light bitterness and resin. Medium body and moderate carbonation.
Overall one of the better beers I had from England, Kernel continues to impress.
