I rode the wave with a shaker pint. This beer was reviewed from notes.

Appearance- This pale has a golden-orange, transparent body. There are no bubbles in the beer, with a white ring of foam. There is a little bit of sheet lacing as the beer travels down the glass.

Smell- The nose is quite sweet and fruity. It is surprisingly tangy, like sweet tarts. The candy citrus reminds me of lemon and lime, also a bit floral.

Taste- Nice! A blast of vanilla and tingly bitterness right away. The candy citrus blends with some wheat grain and a bitter back end. The biscuit malt is a nice touch, really like the grassy quality too.

Mouth feel- The medium body has some nice lift off the tongue. The bitterness gives Tsunami Pale a long and dry finish.

Overall- The sweet and tangy nature of the beer is the defining quality by far. The bitterness is not overdone and makes for an easy drinking pale. Give me more of that citrus please!

A: Bright yellow/golden with just a hint of orange. Great clarity. One finger white head. Looks like a Bud/Miller/Coors beer to be honest. Good active carbonation. I think it's just a little too yellow, I'd like to see some more color. 4.0

S: Hops are there, but not crazy, in fact the pale malt is stronger. Not perfectly clean, but good. 3.5

T: Not much going on here, making it a great session beer/intro to craft beer, but I'd love to see more complexity. No off flavors and just a light bite. 4.0

M: Very nice. It has sharp carbonation and good body. 4.5

D: This is a very drinkable beer. 4.5

Stopped at the tap room and had a pint of this, their house draft.
Review from notes.

Served in a pint, it was a hazy unfiltered gold, with a crown of intricate lacing. There was a finger of head that receded to a thick skim across the surface. Retention was good. Green, leafy, earthy hops in the nose. Seemed like it would be fairly bitter based on aroma alone.

The flavor definitely delivered what the nose hinted at. Firm hop bitterness, grassy and earthy, with a lingering dry green hop finish. Malt complexity in the middle. Light bodied and sessionable for sure. A nice effort from a new Iowa brewery. It reminded me a little of our hometown classic in Chicago, Daisy Cutter from Half Acre.
