Enjoyed at the brewery:

Good yellow/golden hue; cloudy, but not full of sediment...I imagine this is not unfiltered; good quarter inch head, light lacing; as with many hefes, there is a VERY noticeable banana flavor; crisp taste; smells a little bitter, doesn't taste bitter at all; smells 'wheaty'; good beer, very easygoing; lack of overall complexity, but a great summer beer I'm sure. Despite always trying hefes, and usually never being overtly impressed, this was a good beer to session for the lighter-palate crowd.

Served on-draught into a 10 oz pils glass at Elk Mountain. Reviewed from notes. Expectations were moderately high as I generally enjoy Elk Mountain's beers.

A: Pours a one finger head of bad thickness, no cream, and decent retention. Colour is a cloudy yellow.

Sm: Clove, banana, and wheat. A light aroma.

T: Heavy clove with some light banana. Dirty wheat comprises the foundation. Pretty imbalanced and badly built. This is one of the 'emptiest' hefeweizens I've ever had. Where is the flavour? Simple and disappointing.

Mf: Smooth and wet, suiting the flavours generally.

Dr: Drinkable but poorly constructed. Very limited in quality. I wouldn't have it again.
