On tap in a tulip at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, CA.
A: A beautiful golden orange. Slightly murky with a very thin cream colored patchy head.
S: Nice funky acidity and sweet malt. Fantastic tart sourness with a hint of oak behind it.
T: Awesome! Such a great name for this beer. There is a nice bready sweetness up front that transitions into a very enjoyable tartness. There is a hint of oak that pairs very nicely with the sweetness of the malt. A slight honey note with a touch of grassy hops.
M: Pretty highly carbonated. A nice prickly light body beer. Extremely enjoyable and perfect during the summer months.
O: Such a great wild ale. This is a perfect wild/sour to get people interested in sour beers. The sourness is not too abrasive and it is perfectly balanced with the sweet malty and fruity flavors. Just enough oak/hops to balance it all out. So many great offerings from Craftsman. This has to be one of my favorites.

On-tap at Beachwood I,
A: Pours a murky burnt orange with a solid cap of white foam leaving some lace.
S: Citrus and lactic acid, definitely sour smelling, some minor funk.
T: Tart orange and lemon with a hint of raspberry. Bright direct flavours swimming in lactic acid. Some good secondary bready flavours.
M: Medium-bodied, crisp, moderate to high acidity. Pretty clean for the style.
O: Definitely well made, I liked it quite a bit. Craftsman usually makes interesting stuff.

Served on-tap in a wine glass at the Monk's Kettle.
A: A finger of head fades quickly. Hazy-cloudy dark amber.
S: I can smell the puckery, fermented fruit sourness immediately. Lightly sweet as well. Like an Oud Bruin. I like it!
T: Mmm. Very nice. A touch of barrel aging? Sweet smooth fruit, very well carbonated (not too much, not too little). Clean, yeasty end taste. According to the bartender, it uses Crystal, Biscuit, and Honey (hybrid of the other two) malts and sourdough bread yeast. Apparently not barrel aged, but with the same subtly smooth finish. Great tartness! Great beer!
O: I'm not the world's biggest fan of wild ales, but this one is immediately accessible, consumable, rewarding, and tasty. Highly recommended. Would have again.

On tap for the 2012 Peter Reeves Memorial Sourfest at Churchill’s Pub & Grille in San Marcos, CA.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with some fruity and woody aromas. Taste is much the same with only a slightly tart flavor. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is pretty tasty and easy to drink.
