Thanks to Thorpe for the tick.
A - A clear, light yellow colored beer with a small white head that didn't leave much on the sides.
S - A little bready with some sweetness that comes in a touch fruity and tropical. Slight hops finish.
T - Taste is a lot like the nose, with a little bit of grass in there to give it more of a wet taste.
M - Light, crisp, good carbonation.
O - Nice beer, good for the style. Enjoyable to drink and easy to get down. Has some decent complexity for how low ABV it is.

Thanks to Thorpe for sending this our way. Growler into tulip.
A - Pours pale straw yellow, white head, thin collar.
S - Bready malts, floral notes, light fruity sweetness, and some hay. All very nice and refreshing and at 4.4%, it's got a good amount of complexity to it as well.
T - Bready/sweet malts, light floral notes, hay, maybe a touch of hops in there too. Again, a nice beer with some complexity for being only 4.4%. Finish is sweet malts and fruit.
M - Light body, good carbonation, refreshing, clean finish.
O - A really nice beer that's super-easy to drink. Lots going on, and at 4.4%, I would drink early and often. Something perfect for the summer months again. Good stuff.

I had on tap at the brewery. FYI: Our bartender was a dickhead.
Served in a pilsener glass.
A: Poured mildly hazy, with quite the extreme carbonation bill. The head was about a finger or so and stuff around for the show.
S: Wow! Yummy yeast, muted fruit, and freshly baked bread-like sweetness.
T: Sourdough bread, as a matter of fact, with both a sweet and sour disposition. Also, the yeast blended well with all this madness, making this one highly gulpable.
M: With the cushiony yeast and disciplined sweetness, this one was very comfortable on the palate and nothing really lingered or stuck out negatively to my mind.
O: I can't wait to grab a growler of this stuff in the summertime. Hell, it's just right down the street!

Nice, a kellerbier version of their kolsch, very different from the kolsch.
Beer is yellow but completely hazy, nice white head, small and medium bubbles, some lacing, nice carbonation.
Aroma is yeasty, earty, sweet, a little sulfury, smells awesome.
Beer is light in body and grindingly earthy, nice wet finish, tastes great in my opinion a very good variant on the kolsch. Very fun. I'd have this again.

2011 GABF Gold Medal winner. On tap at Mad Fox. Served in a pilsner glass.
Pours a very hazy bright straw yellow with a good white head. Nice retention and quite a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries some nice pilsner malt and just a touch of hops. At that point, it's quite similar to the base kolsch. From there, however, there's a really nice dose of yeast and breadiness, really changing the dynamic of the beer.
The flavor is similar. Bread and yeast come forward with the base in the background. Nice yeastiness through the finish. Moderate hop component. Crisp, but not as much so as the regular kolsch; this is probably halfway between kolsch and hefeweizen in body and feel. Really a nicely done brew. Bill and company deserve the accolades on this one.

On tap @ the Mad Fox Brewing Company (Falls Church, VA) on 1/28/12. Served in a Weizen glass. This is an unfiltered version of the house Kölsch.
Pours an unfiltered pale gold, with a ½ finger of sudsy bright-white head. This retains nicely, maintaining at that level and leaving back some foamy swathes of lacing. Good look here. The aroma smells grassy, spicy, and bready, with a splash of lemon and a lot of sulfur type character coming out. You can definitely smell those proteins coming out in the nose.
The taste is lemon, crisp sweet grains, and a green earthy hop bite. Like the nose, the unfiltered nature of this comes out as an egg-like sulfuric flavor. It’s not really unpleasant in any way though. The finish on this has some strength though, with a dry spiciness and green pith that really sticks in the mouth for a bit. The mouthfeel is lighter-medium bodied, with a nice firm crispness mostly the whole way through this. There is a bit more of a bubbly creaminess along the back, ensuring that this stays easy in the mouth.
This was tasty and refreshing, with the unfiltered nature of this maybe taking away a bit of the crispness from the overall flavor profile but then added some unique qualities to this that more than made for it.
