The color when poured was a thick dark brown with a reddish hue. The smell had roasted malts and a hint of caramel, but couldn't smell the vanilla. The flavor was a real dissapointment. Not a lot of flavor. The flavor was of roasted malts. with no hint of vanilla, in fact no hint of anything but roasted malts. Tanilla Porter was a big dissapointment!

Good, smooth, robust porter, dark, good head, smells like chocolate, drink with friends, on bottle, smells as good as it tastes, don't underestimate this beer. Bought in a larger bomber and got the light kind, not the dark, not the hoppy, just the smooth version.

A half finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is single-mindedly vanilla.
The taste is moderately sweet moving sweeter at the end. The middle has an unexpected bitterness. The profile is a bit disjointed.
Smooth texture with low carbonation and thicker body.
If you like sweetness this is for you.
