The Queen's Head is part of a pub chain owned by interests in the Åbro Brewery. They set up in June 2010.
The lavish British-styled furnishing makes it look a bit like the other Swedish pub chain The Bishops Arms, just a little more posh.
Lots of kegged beers and up to 4 casks (when I visited they were all from Fullers). Belgian, British and Swedish beers dominates the taps. Although there are quite a lot of bottles, it seems like they just ordered a crate of each beer available from the distributors without any active selection.
Some of my friends have been offered beers that were obviously too old (like 1 year old APAs and AIPAs). Odd since the place is so new.
The clientele seemed to be a mix of after work, tourists and passers-by. The service was friendly and helpful, although some of them seemed to lack knowledge of the beers.
It seemed like the place lacked a bit of personality. Or was it just too new?

I started going to the Queen's head in 2012. They had pleasant, knowledgeable staff, a respectable selection of draughts, and the food was nice. The decor is fancy library/pub, and its a touch cozy when its not slightly packed (the few comfortable spots go fast). A few months later, the staff has been replaced with young, shy people. The food isn't that good anymore. And all of the distinguishing taps have vanished (like Lindeman's Apple, and various rare kegs). Last night I ordered a very expensive bottle of beer which seems to have been opened then resealed. The carbonation was totally gone. 7 people tried it, nobody could drink it and this site ranks the Gonzo Barrel Aged beer 92/100. The bartender was hurried and made several communication errors. The friendly guys next to me were threatened to be kicked out after softly singing a little bit. There are other places with less taps but better selection, focused staff, and a more easy going atmosphere. I feel like this place has totally sold out to the packed afterwork crowd, that doesn't look for the exceptional depth this place once offered. There is nothing distinguishing or focused about this place to bring me back again, and I won't permit the enticing decor to draw me in to be let down.
