lots of flavor packed into this saison. pours a caramel orange color with plenty of suspended sediment and a good white head on it. smells like wild yeast, a bit tart and fruity, also sweet maple notes and dried figs in the nose. flavor is equally complex, with the sweeter flavors capturing my attention. yeast plays off this well, and the spice character lasts in the finish. i really liked the flavor and aroma of this beer, but the feel didnt quite do it for me. could have been improved with better carbonation and maybe a little less body, it gets bogged down a bit, but the flavor is darn good. i think this one will evolve over time to become a pretty special beer. its well on its way.

First had: on tap at their brewpub / tasting room

Not a bad saison. Poured a golden brown with a small white head. Spicy aroma, yeasty, with notes of peach and grass. Decent bready taste, peaches and pears, infused with light peppery spice, grass and a bit of farmhouse funk. Medium bodied and decently quaffable.

I had this one on tap at Strange Brewing this afternoon. Poured a reddish orange color with a good sized white head. On the nose, a little tart, yeasty with some spice. On the palate, this one is medium bodied, with flavors of Belgian spice, Belgian yeast and wheat.
