On tap at the Grimm taproom. Served in a squat 10oz chalice and taster glass.
The beer is cloudy brown with very little head, but looks typical for a barrel aged beer. The smell is very nice: dark fruits, brown sugar, vanilla and brett. The taste is just incredible and incredibly complex. The sourness is up front, but melds nicely with the caramel, vanilla, char and light whiskey flavors that follow. Ever present is the brett funk with its citrus notes and in the background biscuity grains. If I could drink this every day I would. This is just amazing. The mouthfeel is exactly what I would want out of a brett/bourbon beer - satisfyingly full but dry on the finish - and there is absolutely no sense of the alcohol. Definitely my favorite Grimm beer and up there with some of the best beers I've ever had. The kind of beer that makes you realize why beer is king of beverages.

Pours a milk chocolate brown with an off white head. A nice malty aroma of some bread, some bourbon barrel, some caramel. Flavor started off bready and caramel, then the bourbon barrel pops in, an a nice toffee and vanilla finish. A medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, this was a fantastic beer. Not a huge fan of wee heavy's but I want to drink more of this one. Great stuff.

Pours a dark brown color with limited clarity. A soft white head.
Poured in a 10 oz glass. The nose is sweet but noticeable brett character. Some minor esters plums, raisins etc. But a light bourbon note as well.
The taste is similar. But a bit more complex. Sweet caramel notes up front with a big estery fruity notes. The oak and bourbon come out more vs the nose. The brett is light but still noticeable and lingers into the taste.
The body is moderate to light. Would like more complextiy overall but a tasty beer fer sure.
