mid to high hoppy sweet aroma, mid carbonation, sweet but more bitter, yum, balanced sweet bitter linger.
Shared a taster on-tap as past of a flight at the brewery; Boneyard Beer Company, Bend, USA. As part of a six-week West Coast beer tour. I rate to taste, not to style. See my blog for more details: carbeers.wordpress.com

Thanks billhilly for doing such a sweet packing job on this world class IPA! Growler filled 6 days ago in WA.
The beer pours a rich looking, hazy amber with a pillowy white head that laces. The nose is a bit weak in the aromatic hops department, but does pack a distinct zesty citrus sweetness, borderline orange juice concentrate, with a slight pine sap and underlying graininess. The taste is very becoming for an IPA that has traveled in a box for last 5 days. It presents reserved citrus and grain sweetness, approachable bitterness (only 50 IBUs), only slightly biting, and has no lingering unpleasantries. The mouthfeel is a lighter medium body (not watery), balanced bitterness and sweetness, perfectly drinkable, and yields a complex layering of predominantly citrus hops. This beer was definitely worth trading for and is highly drinkable making it perfect for a growler fill.

Notes to self, will tidy up later
Boneyard IPA @ f/stop
upfront bitter, lemon peel , lingering tang. grassy, grapefruit WITHOUT any sweetness - not bad, just noting it. kinda like it because it feels more purposeful than some of the sweeter offerings. hazy look, light passes thru but only very diffused. warming in the tummy suggests a bit higher abv than I'd expect by taste (And checking proves me right - yay. hides its 7.5 pretty well). little bit of lacing, but hard to tell since it was poured with no head (why?). A bit of backwash forced it, looks good for what I have to work with. Resiny hops show character as it warms, helps smooth it up a bit.
why do bartenders pour beers with zero head?
