Another time Birrificio Italiano trade mark : an above the average foam . This time we encounter it in a perfect amber hue product caracterized for its stinging character .
Noticeable clearness too, despite of lack of any pasteurization .
Taste shows mainly malt,caramel and later citrus and bitter almond.
Medium body beer with a velvety mouthfeel but
at the same time spicy / stinging .
750cl = 8.5 at Birrificio Italiano .

I wouldn't call this a doppelbock, it doesn't really match the style. It is, however, a nicely balanced strong amber lager. The color is a clear, clean amber, with a nice off-white foam with small and tightly packed bubbles. The aroma is a clean blend of German hops (fairly strong in aroma) and caramel malt. The caramel maltiness is appealing, but it takes a little bit of a backseat to the hops. The taste is sweet, with a little toffee and caramel in the front. There's also notable alcohol warming and considerable bitterness. Well balanced. The mouthfeel is rich and substantial. As you consume the beer, a variety of esters make themselves known as well, mixed with the alcohol. This is a moderately complex beer that's well made and nicely balanced.

More of a Belgian type ale than the other beers I have tried from this brewer, and it looks filtered. Amber colour, tastes like a fine trappish ale. Triple hopped, with Hallertauer Magnum and Hallertauer Perle. Also on the sweet side, but a fine sour finish.

Amber color, almost red, slightly veiled.
The head is decent, with some little bubbles, average compactness.
The smell is very inviting, with light caramel, not overwhelming. Good fuity, with apricot, peach, pineapple, citron. Citrus fruit. Even some touches of candies fruit. Light hint almost spiced, with talc. Complex and very pleasant.
The taste is a bit less complex, with malt, light caramel, and then the fruity and warming note, and hints of spices. Candy orange peel, strawberry. A good hop balances the taste.
Medium body, with a beautiful resolute aftertaste, spiced, but mostly with a quite longlasting hop.
Overall: a very good tasting beer, warming and pleasant.
