One of our favorite brewers. We are malty beer drinkers and enjoy Twisted Pine's malty options. Some of my favorites are their Cream Style Stout, Razzy Xpress, and Honey Brown.
We loved their Artesian Ales Waggonwheel Stout. Also very much enjoyed their Artesian Ales West Bound Braggot. Really hoping they make both again... especially the Waggonwheel Stout. We stored a case of the Waggonwheel Stout in the basement. Opened a bottle two nights ago... very good!!
The remodeling makes Twisted Pine feel not as cozy and homey, but the extra space was needed. Good place to drink beer, have a snack, and enjoy a euro-strategy game. There are food choices for vegetarians. Really like their hummus platter with pita, pesto, feta, artichokes, etc.

I tell my visiting friends that this is Boulder's version of a locals hang out. While still true, it's much less so these days.
The people here are great, I'm here at least once a week and often see the same friendly faces. The new tap room is very nice with the additional TVs and games strewn about. A lot to do while drinking/eating (I recommend Jenga). For the price, the food here is fantastic. Nothing fancy which is a very nice change of pace in Boulder. Sometimes I just want some nachos and a roast beef sandwich, dang it.
The beers are for the most part very solid. The seasonals are changed very often, but they'll always give you a small taste for free. I must admit that the wife and I don't come for the beers, we come for the best atmosphere near where we live that just happens to have some great brews!

Fun place to check out. Small hole in the wall brewery but they make it some fine brews. The place seems to be frequented by regulars, but they were all friendly, along with the staff, and willing to share their impressions. Didn't try the food, but the regulars were all eating for the most part and at least by the looks. The beer offering is decent and each was pretty tasty. I had heard a lot about the Billy's Chiles so made sure to tasted that one. Got a flight of beers to get a taste of more of what they offered. Saved the Ghost Face Killa for last, hot, but not mouth ruining like I feared. The regulars were waiting to see my reaction, which was kind of funny. Overall a cool little bar to spend a couple hours. Not a sports bar but seemed like it would be a good spot to enjoy some beers with a game in the back ground.

Stop one of the CO beer vacation.
TP is located off one of the main drags of Boulder and in an industrial strip mall. Walking in on a rainy Saturday night it was hopping with a full crowd of locals. The bar is directly in front of the door.
There were about 12 beers on tap and my wife and I tried the Hoppy Girl (released that night, Hoppy Boy with jasmine and hibiscus added), Hoppy Boy, Ghost Face Killah (the Billy’s Chilles beer with the Ghost Pepper added), Big Easy Off Beat Brown Ale (with wasabi, horseradish and honey), and a cream stout. The stand outs were the Hoppy Girl, Hoppy Boy, and the Big Easy.
Overall the beer was solid and if we lived in Boulder this may be our local. The atmosphere is nice and basic. It is mos’ def a locals place filled with bicyclists

Stop #252 on my world brewery tour.
Twisted Pine was not originally on my 2011 GABF brewery visit list, but we ran into a group of Texans at Equinox in Ft. Collins who raved about their Ghost Faced Killa ghost chili beer.
We made a quick stop on the way back to Denver to check it out.
Stop happened to be around 4:00 on a Friday. Industrial park with small outside patio and small tap room. Lots of people so we had to sit on a bench to drink our sampler plus 12 oz bottle of GFK.
While GFK was an unique and painfully enjoyable, the other beers fell well short of what you would expect from a Colorado craft brewery. We drank a couple sips of each. The pale ale was the biggest disappointment of the bunch.

Twisted pine has always been nearby to where I live. Their beers are all decent, nothing spectacular but very drinkable. The place is very cozy and the bartenders are all very nice. It's in a nice location in town that is in an out of the way spot. There are usually some good brews on tap especially billies chiles and the much more powerful ghost face killah. It's a v ery easy place to hang out and drink and I definitely recommend stopping in here. The chile beer is worth it if that's your thing. Love places that are this welcoming and relaxing!

This was our second stop on the Friday of GABF, and it turned out to be one of our favorites.
Small brewpub in a light industrial/warehouse area of Boulder. More seating outside than inside, but not much cover on the patio. We opted to sit inside, which was crowded.
Big beer selection, somewhere around 15 house brews on tap, plus Ghost Face Killah (a ghost pepper chile beer) in bottles. A few other selections in bottles available as well. We did a circuit of their dark saison, IPA, espresso stout, and cream stout, plus shared a sample of GFK from group of guys at a table next to us. All the beers were done well. Although food is offerred, we only tried the chips and salsa, but others around us seemed to be enjoying their orders.
Best part was the "tour." Someone we assumed was the owner came by to check on us and offerred us the opportunity to just walk back into the brewhouse, and "somebody would take care of us." A few of us went back and met the head brewer and got a nice tour of the place. One of the friendliest places I've to in a while. Definitely worth a trip and this place should be on your list for a visit if you're in the area.
Value was the best of the day, with pints being around $3 each.

Visited this small brewpub during a recent visit to Boulder. The place is pretty tiny with a nice outdoor seating area that has about ten tables set up. Inside there are about four tables and a small bar with seating for about ten at the most. Back past the bar there is a window with a view of the brewing equipment. On the left wall there is a chalkboard with the draft offerings and another board that had rotating seasonals.
There were only two people working during my visit, a bartender and a server who was mostly running drinks to the outside area. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, explaining the flights and different beers that were available.
The selection at this place was pretty impressive. They had around ten regular beers on draft plus around five seasonals in a wide range of styles. Wheat beers, ipas, stouts, strong ales, chili beers, etc. In addition, they had a cooler of bottles available and a good bit of merch for sale. They offer three different flights which is a plus, a choice of 5, 10 or 15 of their beers. The prices were very reasonable as well.
I have to admit that I wasn't terribly impressed with many of their beers but this was a fun place to hang out and drink some beers in a relaxing atmosphere. Also, they make a Ghost Face Killah beer so mad props for that! "The imperial, industrial king got weight!"

Laid back atmosphere. Just a bar and a few tables with a window into the brewery. There is generally a person or two to talk with.
The food is minimum, a very small kitchen, so a large group is not advised to eat there together. Could take up to 30 minutes or more and you won't get your food at the same time. Sandwiches and soup and nachos are all that is offered I believe.
They have 18 beers on tap if I remember right. A nice selection, always something you'll enjoy. One of my favorites.
Free pint for three can donations.

The place surprised me, its really small but there were several pluses: a few off-the-wall beers, I missed an attempt at a sour, but they had three chile beers on tap, one which had great flavour (silly billy). They also had on a decent barleywine. The other beers were almost all average. Loved the tap handles that were part of a 1860's saloon theme. Service was handled by a confident lady who was alert to everything and any beer you wanted. The sampler tray was all layed out for up to 15 beers (I tried 10) with 4 ounce pours in solid glasses. People were friendly at the bar. A good time.
