This is (I think) the lightest Clown Shoes beer I have tried. I have to admit before trying this that I am not a big fan of the Wit style. I have had a few that I have liked, so I hope that this is one of them. Let's see:

Appearance: I carefully got the beer out of the bottle, but then let it fall into the glass a bit in hopes to bring on the head, but it stayed pretty small <1/8" and faded back into the beer pretty much as I was pouring it. The beer itself is a mildly cloudy slightly orangish yellow.

Aroma: The aroma in the cold beer is pretty subtle with the Coriander being obvious already. I can also pick out the citrus from what I assume are a mix between Hops and the actual citrus added. There is a little bit of a peppery spice coming out as the beer sits a bit that seems like it is from alcohol, but may be from actual spice additions...it's hard to tell.

Taste: The flavor is more bready than the aroma led on to. The spice additions are evident in the flavor, but they aren't overpowering the beer. The carbonation is low for the style and the body is medium so that the beer is coming across the palate pretty watery with the balance in the finish coming from hops mostly. There is a little dryness contributed by the spice, but for the most part the beer has a pretty uneventful mouthfeel. The oranges are definitely coming out more as the beer sits.

Opinion: Well, unfortunately this Wit didn't really do IT for me. I think that the lack of carbonation was the biggest flaw, so that is one of the easier ones to fix/change. I do like that the spices/additions aren't over-done. Though the Coriander is noticeable, it isn't "hot" as it gets in some Witbiers you try. The short and sweet is that I haven't given up on this beer. I would like to try it again on tap where the carbonation can be controlled better and then decide.
