(my first review)
Lovely in the glass, darker and virtually no head.
Smell is smokey sweet, but not strong. Carmel comes through more than anything else.
Taste is light, a bit thin, and sweet.
Feels thin, but finishes with just enough bitter to offset the carmel. It's a decent beer but would be better later in the year. Feels like fall, and it's too early in the year for this. It's not something I would pick up again on purpose, but would gladly have another if offered.

Thanks to queens1130 for sharing this one at AndrewK’s tasting.
Release # 5. This release is the Scotch Ale.
Pours a slightly hazy honey brown with a foamy tan head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. No lacing on this one. Smell is of smoked malt, peat, and some slight adhesive bandage aromas. Taste is pretty much the same with a nice smoke finish that lingers on the palate after each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with some nice smoky aromas and flavors that I am enjoying.

Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee, tobacco, light smoke and a hint of fruittiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, toffee, tobacco, smoke and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering smokey finish.

22 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.
Appearance-Copper-mahogany hue with moderately high clarity and a wispy, beige head with fair retention.
Aroma-Oaky smoke, light bacon, and peaty malt, with sweetish, bready/toasty aromas, and a light kiss of caramel. Faintest hint of floral hops. Slight toffee aromas in the background, and a faint perfumy alcohol.
Flavor-Caramel, brown sugar, and toffee give way to light peat smoke, toasted oak, and peppery alcohol. Very low hop bitterness is present in the finish, and the alcohol is a bit harsh.
Mouthfeel-Medium full body with a prickle of moderately low carbonation. A bit harsh at first followed by mellow alcohol warmth.
Decent aroma and flavor, but booze is a little bit harsh and the malt profile could use a bit more depth. Also, the peaty smoked tones are a bit overpowering, especially in the aroma. Not a bad beer necessarily, but doesn't really do it for me.
