Nice, comfortable space in downtown Burlington; lots of seating and definitely more of a restaruant feel, than a bar, though there is a bar.
Service was good, the menu is pretty local, not overwhelming, but full of good food, some of it is on the pub side of things, some of it is a bit fancier. The quality of the food was outstanding! The beer list is quite possibly, the best in the country/world on many nights. A huge selection of bottles and cans from all over, including Heady Topper and a great draft list that, on my last visit, included two Hill Farmstead beers, as well as others by Founders, Stone, Bear Republic and often has Lawsons. About the only negative thing you can say about this place is that the beer is expensive. A 12oz glass of Abner costs $8.50, which didn't stop me from enjoying this outstanding and hard to find beer, but let's face it, that's ridiculous.

Had dinner and drinks here with some friends early on a Saturday night. Luckily we made reservations, as they were very busy.
Great atmosphere and theme, with awesome beer being paired with farm-to-table local fresh food ingredients. Amazing, huge, taplist. That weekend was "Sour Fest" so half the beers were top of the line sours, but since that's not my thing, they still had a huge list to choice from. A lot of local Vermont beers too.
Food was really good, and the team of waitresses that took orders and brought food were friendly and helpful with suggestions.
A must visit if you visit Burlington!

Had dinner there on a Wednesday evening. Quite busy even on this week day - figured it must mean something good.
Atmosphere is very simple, nothing fancy, just an enjoyable family oriented restaurant with lots of beer for the adults. Basically, a neutral place where you make your own atmosphere at your table.
Service was good, better than some other places I've been to in Burlington, but not as good as others. Still better than average, as I've seen it. Many good looking waitresses - not a crucial point, but whatever anyone says, it does make the place more enjoyable for male customers.
Selection of beer is more than outstanding : 25 taps and over 150 bottles. I'm from Montreal and this easily compares with the Saint-Bock. And they had stuff, mostly local, but some imports, that the Saint-Bock couldn't even dream of having on hand (though the Saint-Bock does have its own surprises).
The food is varied and very good. I had a burger that was tasty and well prepared. I ordered it bloody, it came as such, and the meat was tasty. No problem at all afterwards - I expected as much by reputation - they get their meat straight from local farmers, which is why I decided to risk myself ordering my patty bloody. My friends had the meatloaf and the Italian sausage plate and were quite satisfied.
Very good value. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in Burlington wanting a good burger and/or some rare tap or bottled beers. I would go there any time on my next trip to Burlington.

As part of a roving bachelor party bus trip from New York to Montreal, The Farmhouse was one of our only pre-planned dinners during the trip on the recommendation of one of our beer-loving party members. I'm very grateful that he scheduled this stop. The menu had a huge emphasis on local ingredients (which the waitstaff was almost preachy in advocating), and the fresh, local character of the menu shined through in the food. My buddy seated next to me had a tremendous steak tartare that he was willing to share, we all enjoyed the orders of the house mac 'n cheese we passed around the table, and my pork burger was quite satisfying.
Even in view of the outstanding dinner, the beer selection shone even brighter. The beer list was extensive with a terrific range of drafts (again focusing on regional brewers, Vermont in particular) and pages of bottles arranged by style to fill in any gaps in the range of draft selections. We had a group of 14 guys with varying affections for craft beer, and everyone left satisfied. I would definitely visit again if I make it back up to Burlington some day.

Stopped in here this past weekend while in town for the HF Festival. I have wanted to check this place out since my first visit to the area, I made sure we stopped in this time.
Atmosphere is awesome. Beautiful outdoor areas, a patio out front and beer garden out back, to go along with the nice interior space. Drafts written on chalk boards above the bar and the bottle list in a leather bound book. Quality was top notch. All of out beers came in the correct glasses and the food could not have been better. Service was excellent. Our bartender was great, he talked to us quite a bit and helped us out whenever he could. Selection was great. They had all kinds of things on draft, most notable being Double Sunshine! We grabbed a bottle of De Ranke Kriek to round things out, making for an excellent desert. Food was the highlight for me. I got the beef burger with all the fixings and it was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. Prices were a little high on the drafts and food but I am more than willing to pay for quality such as this.
Overall one of the best places I have visited in Vermont to date. I will definitely return in the future.

The farmhouse tap and grill is absolutely amazing. Whether its outside in the beer garden, or downstairs in the lounge. They always have a great selection of beer on tap. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back, not pushy and quite friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for great local craft beers or delicious fresh meals

This place is indeed a must if you are in the area with a great beer menu. Hill Farmstead, Heady, Alesmith and a bunch of other were available. The food was the real kicker though with super great juicy hamburger with fresh local blue cheese. My kid’s mac and cheese and shrimp tacos were also excellent. Service was excellent and prices were fair for the quality of food and drinks.

I was in Burlington for Brew Fest this weekend so I decided to check this place out. A fairly large establishment with a nice atmosphere. I got there right before the place became packed so I lucked out with seating. The draft list was very impressive. Finally got to try Black Albert. There were several Hill Farmsteads on tap, as well as Lawson, Cantillon, and many other great VT brews. They also had Heady Topper on cask, which was unique. Food was pretty good there too. Overall, I really enjoyed it here.

Being from Burlington, I am lucky to have this place right down the street. I don't go there for the food, although it looks great and is of an eclectic sort, the real draw is the beer. These guys have almost cornered the market on Vt produced beers, and usually have many that nobody else has or can get, including Hill Farmstead, Lawsons, Alchemist, Bobcat Café, Fiddlehead and many others. They also have an extensive bottle list from all over the US and world. They regularly will pull out an incredible keg (BCS, Curmudgeons Better Half, Bolt Cutter and the like ) that is not to be missed. If you love craft beer, and are in th BTV area, stop in, you won't be disappointed.
