22oz bomber, split
Nice label art on the Trail Magic series - lovely looking beer too, hazy straw-orange body, heavy carbonation and creamy retention. The honeysuckle provides a certain degree of sweetness that was tolerated due its unique flavor and lovely way of pairing with a moderate funky goat cheese. Yeasty and active carbonation mouthfeel. Nice.

2013 vintage on tap at the brewery.
Pour was crystal clear, golden, with a modest size white head that had very good retention.
Sweet floral smell, as expected from a saison infused with "painstakingly hand-picked, wild honeysuckle flowers and local wildflower honey". Very attractive aroma considering my usual lack of enthusiasm for the smell of saisons. The taste was also as expected, and again with a fine floral quality. Nice balance of sweet, bitter and tart, with the tart winning out in the end. Fruity with hints of lemon, apples and apricots.
O: Excellent choice as a refreshing, unique and highly flavorful summer ale.
