Poured into a SA perfect pint.

A: Pours a hazy medium to deep amber with a half finger off white head. Spotted lacing.

S: Light floral and grassy hops. Light sweet malts also present. I'm also picking up some subtle spice - cinnamon like almost.

T: You would never expect such a bold taste from the smell. Floral, grassy, and all things earthy bring a very nice bitterness level. Some pine and grapefruit flavors as well. Little to no malt backbone - which is not a bad thing at all in my book - reminds me Smuttynose's Finest Kind. Solid IPA.

M: Resinous hops. Medium bodied and moderate to high carbonation.

D: Great beer here. Makes me want to seek out some other beers with similar hop profiles. Very easy drinking.

-Best by july 2013. Lot#288. Consumed 5/2/13.

A: Dirty orange , creamy, milky, buff toned head is slight, shortly holding. Thin broken stratified ring lacing of modest coverage.

S: Leafy celery aroma, some spiciness of floral lemon-citrus. Woodsy, fresh shrubbery with sweet toasted grains.

T: The marris otter provides a deep creamy malt base while the dry chinook hops leave a flowery, pollen like coating on the tongue. Some dry flowery pine and celery, leafy hop cones, with a strong level of dry hops linger quite a bit. A dry malt powdery leave with flashes of toasted grain sweetness peeking out every once in awhile.

M: Milky, creamy mouthful, dry hops with a soft residual malt coating.

O: Overall flashes of malt sweetness mingles with the dry chinook hops and a creamy malt base and residual coating all points to a solid entry and worthy try. I find the malt base quite unique here from the marris otter and worth it just for that.

A- Poured from growler (got on tap at bottle shop) into pint glass. Mid to Light amber color
S- Smelled lightly of citrus and pine
T- Very hoppy, immediately. Tasted some bitterness similar to that of a grapefruit, delicious!
M- Very crisp, had a fruity aftertaste. I loved how aggressive the hops were in the beginning and it had a nice finish, no lingering of any unwanted flavors (IMO)

Definitely love this IPA, I think its from around the Pittsburgh area, so I'm lucky that my local Philly bottle shop had it on tap. Definitely an IPA I would pick up again. (Modest price: $17 for a 64 oz growler)

Pours a cloudy orange copper color with a finger of head that quickly dissipates. Limited to no real lacing. Overall a solid looking brew but you wouldn't pick it out as an IPA on appearance alone.

Aroma is grapefruit and citrus blended with a malted caramel background. The hops are first and foremost but a level of balance does exist.

A strong but not too strong hop bitterness hits right away and quickly fades off to let the hop flavors truly come through with just a touch of maltiness to keep things balanced. Just as soon as the flavors begin to dance the hop bitterness comes back and washes it all away with a dry and crisp finish making this one very drinkable.

The body is actually very light all things considered and the dry crisp hop finish goes very well with it. The carbonation is just right. All in all the mouthfeel is the best part of this beer as it makes for a great summer drinker when it is hot and humid.

Overall the flavor is pretty solid and when backed up by the great mouthfeel this makes for a very good addition to any summer cooler on a boat.
