WOW! A hidden gem. I told Jonelle (my soon to be wife) to this place. It was kind of hard to find, but got there, kind of slow when we got there, but really nice inside. Nine taps with no swill, and a nice collection of bottles. Everything from Ommegang, Chouffe, Duvel, Maredsous, and Cooperstown. Asked to see a menu, and was kind of scared because it was a note card with standard fried pub fare, then I see the specials on the board... OH MY GOD! I had a Cuban sandwich made from pork belly, ham, fresh Swiss, pickles, and a mustard aioli. Jonelle had the stuffed zucchini, which was remarkable too. We started with their wings, they had one flavor, but those were superb as well. This place is a great place to go to, I actually can't wait to go back!

A wonderful find in Oneonta, NY. Part of a hotel, owned by the same family that owns the bar, the bar is a place for an adult crowd in a college town. An excellent variety of craft beers on tap and in bottles, the bar the owners are frequently changing up selections. Selections include local, national, and international beers. The food is very good - I'm partial to the chicken wings - and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They are happy to serve half pints rather than pints, if you wish, and if you're interested in trying a few selections. My Father's Place is a great stop for beer lovers in the Oneonta/Cooperstown area. Be sure to stop in for a half pint or pint.

The place is kind of hard to find and is located inside of a hotel. They carry 9 beers on tap and have about 30 bottles to choose from. The taps consist about half of local fare (ommegang and ithaca) and the remainder are from around the country. The bottle selection was geared more towards the average beer drinker but has about a dozen decent beers. This place is the best beer bar in Oneonta but the competition doesn't set the bar very high. The prices were decent and I was able to get a limited release Ommegang beer that was just released.
