Walking through Whole Foods today, some reps were giving tastings of this beer... one sip and yes... I'll take a couple.

I'm really starting to love Belgian pales.. and this is a great one.. I'll be back again and again...

drinking one right now while watching the Oscars and eating pizza.... it goes well with three meat digiorno.

330 ml bottle, at home. Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 7,4%

Opens with a gush, thankfully I was able to pour it straight away. Huge white head, four fingers tall, soapy, with excellent retention, leaving quite a lace around the glass. Beer itself is deep golden yellow in colour, without any activity in it.
Fruity smell with lots of citrus aromas and hops. More light and subtle aromas include yeast, alcohol and banana bread.
Faint fruit flavours on the taste, followed by a very slight metallic aftertaste, before all those taste elements convert to a pleasant hoppy bitterness, along with earth notes. Not bad.
Medium thin on the body, average carbonation. Very faint dryness on the palate.
Overall, a good beer, but also a bit boring, nothing extraordinary in any case.

This one is a semi-dark golden color, slightly hazy and is topped off with a thick white and airy head accompanied by some really awesome lacing. The aroma is light and fresh, hints of citrus fruits and hops are well represented here, and grapes, apples, mild pears and even grapefruit can be detected when stirred. The flavor is an exact replica of the aroma, mildly sweet with a bitter overall, the first things you taste is the apple followed by some pears and berries. The aftertaste is just as good, slightly dry and sweet overall and the alcohol is barely detectable. The mouth feel is medium-to-full bodied. This is a pretty good beer to relax to…

I tasted this beer while visiting the small brewery of Lupus. I think Wolf 7 has a very nice golden color. When tasting it, you can find a slightly sweet flavor and in the aftertaste you will taste a subtile tense of bitterness. I definitely enjoyed it this Wolf 7.

Wolf is a beer from the lupus brewery, who brews out of Aarschot at this moment.

A: Almost clear golden with a big, slightly rocky head. Some pieces of the head stick to the glass. The head retention is good, with a nice residual going on.

S: The smell is a major bonus point for this beer. The smell is sweet malty with large hints of vanilla.

T: The smell does not decieve, the same sweetness comes back but less pronounced. After the initial taste a hint of nectarines (or other stone fruits) is detecable. After this a mild bitter aftertaste comes into play. The taste seems to be well balanced.

M: Medium carbonation gives it a very nice mouthfeel.

D: Another big bonus for this beer. It has not too much abv and conceals it very well. I could easily drink a few of these on a good summer day.

Beer from a relatively new brewery, Lupus... Wolf.
They have 3 wolves. I tried the lightest one, and it was very decent. It's a blonde ale with a decent head. reasonable carbonation.
The smell was very nice. Malts, fresh yeast. It promises some sweetness and spicyness.
Taste has trouble following up on the smell. It's a bit common. Mainly malty, with a bit of fruit, but not much.
Aftertaste is bittersweet, the alcohol is ok.
All in all it's an ok brew.
