Grabbed a bottle at the Hyatt Place in Norfolk during a recent stay. Poured into a curved hotel glass.
The Oconnor brewing co Norfolk canyon pale ale was very average. Pours medi copper with a ring of white foam. Faint malt smell. Soapy. Taste is a thin malt with a minty hop spread throughout. Fast finish. Nice local beer. 375 325 350 350 350
Liked the chance to sample a local, but nothing to come back to.

12 oz bottle poured into my large Duvel tulip, Norfolk Canyon is gold with a creamy off-white head leaving scattered, foamy lace.
Smell is herbal hops and light cereal sweetness.
Taste is nicely balanced and clean malt with the herbal hop snap. Leafy, a little tobacco.
Mouthfeel is slippery, light bodied.
Drinkability is high, this is a tasty, balanced, nuanced pale ale made to session. Nice pick Mom!

From notes:
No freshness date; Poured in a pint glass.
A - One inch off-white creamy head with okay retention; Amber in color with a clear appearance; Minimal lacing left behind
S - Fairly leafy/grassy with a touch of orange citrus fruit and herbal hops; Lightly toasted malts and some caramel also come through; As the head subsides, a bit of sweetness steps forward with toffee and a bit more citrus hops
T - Plenty of grassy flavor here with some metallic character as well; Toasted grains and bread, bit of caramel, and some lemongrass also contribute; Light bitterness lasts throughout the entire taste; After awhile, lemongrass, citrus, and toasty flavors become a bit more pronounced
M - Moderate carbonation; Just under medium bodied; Slick mouthfeel with a slightly dry finish
O - To me, this APA is just a run-of-the-mill offering for the style. It does bring a bit more bitterness than the average pale ale, and is fairly drinkable, but otherwise doesn't distinguish itself from the masses. I could have this one again, but it's not something I would actively seek out.

This was tossed in as an extra by lambicking in our fantastic trade!
Thanks a lot my friend!
No freshness dating, but it looks and smells fresh.
Served in a tulip pint.
Clear pale orange body with an almost white head of 1.5 fingers that settled rather quickly to leave a thin but rocky film that's a bit thicker at the edges. Some spotty chunks of lacing hang behind. I like the color... Little more retention and lacing and this would be better looking.
Smells biscuity and bready with some crystal malt notes. The hops hold floral and citrus with a slightly soapy note. Orangey/grapefruit and floral hops. Pretty dry finish.
Feels pretty good-- a bit thin, but quite good in that sense because it makes me think I could drink multiple bottles with ease. Plenty of carbonation.
Overall-- not bad. Certainly not the best pale ale I've had, but far from the worst. Enjoyable and drinkable in its own right, though not necessarily my favorite take on the style.
