Beverage Warehouse is the easily best liquor store in Los Angeles. The only drawbacks from me is that it's not terribly close to where I love / anywhere I often go and there is extremely limited selection of refrigerated beers. These are small complaints though.
Beverage Warehouse is precisely what the name says - a warehouse. It's not very easy to find so be sure to Google Maps the hell out this place before you head out. It's a large warehouse with ample selection of liquor, sodas and why you're here - beer.
Usually when I'm making my way to the Beverage Warehouse, I'm stocking up. That's exactly what I did today. I took an extended lunch break and headed out to load up on some of the new stuff out. To no surprise, they had everything I hoped they would and some other specialities. I loaded up on the Pizza Port / Lost Abbey stuff - which is still not all that easy to find here, especially the Old Viscosity and Wipeout IPA, which I've never seen stocked anywhere until now. They also already had the new SN Celebration 06, even though it's only the end of October. I'm not complaining. The Belgian selection was looking good. There were some tasty German lagers I've not crossed paths with lately. I managed to stay under my planned budget of $100, though it was difficult.

I have to start with the fact that I've never had a bad beer from this establishment. It is mainly a wine/soda warehouse. On weekends they have samplings of soda in the front of the building, they have some really wild soda's. I sampled a few and some of them stung my palate into remission.
Huge selection of brews. The usual domestic macro's bud, miller, coors, and some imported macro's, corona, pacifico, heinekin, etc.
Some hard to find imports including some beers from tawain, south korea, china. If you look hard enough you will find beers from all over the world. You really do have to look around the entire beer selection as it can stretch into the next aisle when they are fully stocked. The only downside is in the quality department because there are no coolers for the beer and if there is A/C they don't use it too often as its usually on the hot side. With that being said I haven't had a truly bad bottle of beer so in my book it hasn't been an issue.
Full selection of belgium imports consisting of the usuals and some hard to finds. Fullers vintage 2005 was on sale!
Micros from all the locals that distribute. Moylan's, Marin, Stone, Green Flash, Ballast Point, Alesmith, Pizza port etc etc....the list goes on and on and on. Avery, North Coast, Russian River. Don't forget to ask management whats new coming their way. They will give you the rundown and even the day he expects it so you can get it fresh.
Large parking lot is condusive, especially on the weekends. You will not be dissapointed. Even the veteran BA's would enjoy this venture.
Edit: Nov 1 2006. Making friends with the Rick is a good idea. He has ordered many brews that I made him aware of and he's happy to do it.

I love this place! Great selection of beers from the US and international. You can always trust that they'll have the new releases and a huge selection of bombers and sixers. They dont really have 12ers but thats not a problem. This place is sort of hidden in an off the beaten path strip mall. When you find it you'll be pleasantly surprised. My one beef would be that I wish they stayed open a little later on weekdays b/c I cant get there before 6pm from work.
Nice selection of wine and spirits too!

Beverage Warehouse is a great place to stock up on some really good beers. The beer guy Rick is a great guy to talk to and will keep you abreast as to what is going on with shipping and what he can get for you. Throw some questions around and you will be sure to get a response from one of the gentlemen who are there.
I have found some pretty great stuff lately. They have the new shipment of Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout, a bunch from Stoudts and Victory Brewing and a load of belgians which I am almost through with trying. They have a generous wall of singles that can be purchased and a large selection of six packs. They have new shipments that come in all the time, so their is a lot of variety in their selection.
This is a great place to stock up. Also, the people make it a place where you want to keep going back to spend your money.

took a bus here from the airport on a sunday, had to walk the last mile and a half, sheer torture.
finally got there and two guys said hello, told them i came from orlando for their beer, they took pitty on me and answered my quest for pliny and damnation
it was a tough being in there, i had little time, normally in a place like this i would have spent close to $50-75 but i was on strict budget and time. do you understand what i;m saying, i was so pressed for time i couldn;t look at anything.
the guy got me the beers, double bagged it for me and i was ready to walk again, this time for 6 miles. good god. only did it for the pliny and damnation, never again.
place is on my list for next time if i have a car.

A veritable "kid in a candy store" kind of place for beer lovers.
They have everything and at very reasonable prices. Beers I read about here on BeerAdvocate that I wanted to try I found at Beverage Warehouse (Arrogant Bastard and Hop Rod bombers fer instance). If you live in West Los Angeles and want to find the best selection of beers, you cannot go wrong at Beverage Warehouse. My only gripe? Most of the beer is room temp. so you have to wait while your tasty purchases chill in the fridge. Unless you're getting a keg, those are always nicely chilled. Probably the best keg prices around the area, got a half barrel of Anchor Steam for $125 there last year.

This place is located at the end of a strip mall in the middle of Marina del Rey off of Culver Boulevard
Have found great beers here from Ballast Point, Lagunitas, Stone, and Rogue XS series
Can find bombers for three bucks which is great, recently bought a Frank Zappa tribute beer called Kill Ugly Radio for that price
Always have specials and the newest products available
They are supposed to get in Stone's 11th Anniversary beer in the next few days
Sales associates know exactly what you are looking for and are always very helpful
If you become a regular here, you will receive amazing benefits, I will leave it at that

I hate to say good things about this place, because it's MY little secret shop. I have found on of my favorite beers there and they always have it. It has gotten a very high rating on this website, but I don't want to say what it is... I don't want it to start disappearing before I get there. Hehehe.... I can't say enough GREAT stuff about this place. I was just there yesterday and it really is Disney Land for Adults... You should really stop by, but stay away from MY beer... For the price, I find it a GREAT deal. You will not be disappointed.
