A: Dark brown color, showing clear when held to the light. Head is off-white and 2 fingers or so in height. Both head retention and lacing are good.

S: Nice aroma of dark, bready malts. Also nutty character and a caramel sweet smell.

T: Taste is not a surprise based on the nose, with nutty and malty notes in the forefront. Sweet, but balanced by a light bitterness of toasted malts and earthy hops.

M: Medium in body and has average carbonation. The finish is a good balance of malts and English hops.

O: Nothing flashy here, but a solid take on an English brown.

Cask -> pint glass at Leroy Lounge in Montgomery, AL

Reddish brown with a 1.5 finger off-white head. Mild smell of roasted and chocolate malts and some earthy hops to back it up. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Pretty standard brown ale, basically what you'd expect it to be. Not bad, but not great either.

A- Small one finger of tan head that left a good amount of lacing throughout the drink. Very dark reddish brown, almost opaque.

S - Roasted malts and a hint of hops

T- A crisp clean taste with overtones of coffee and maybe chocolate.

M- A very full mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation.

O- This beer was a lot better than I had expected. Closer to a Porter than a Brown Ale. I would definitely buy it again. A totally enjoyable beer.

A- Deep brown. Head is tan and pretty thin. Lasts fairly well though. No real lacing.
S- Malty. Dark bread is pretty much the big flavor. A light roastyness.
T- Decent flavor. Lightly sweet with a dark bread flavor. There is an earthy character to it as well.
M- Medium body. Medium-low carb.
O- A pretty good brown ale. Better than the sum of its parts as it's very easy drinking.
