500 ml bottle, as 8 Wired Super Conductor Double IPA, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 8.8%. Crystal clear golden colour, apparently filtered. Moderate white head. Intense aroma of fruity NZ and US hops, a remarkable blend of lychee and other tropical fruits, citrus and white grapes. Also hints of spruce and caramel. The flavour is very hoppy, fruity, resinous and bitter, but also quite sweet. Far from "perfectly balanced", but still damned good and tasty.

330 ml bottle, Brendan's Brewtique, Bristol - Pours cloudy golden with a medium white foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Aroma - Sweet juicy fruity hops, citrus and tropicals - grapefruit/pineapple, bready malty overtones, light pine resin. Taste - Sweet forefront, fruity hops - grapefruit/pineapple, light resin, middling bready malts, medium/long dry bitter finish. Hides ABV really well and well balanced. Nice malty feel which you don't always pick up with hop fronted DIPA's. A hit.

Not the hop bomb they claim. While very much hop forward, not bitter or overpowering. Presents a beautiful golden yellow. Zesty to look at, zesty to taste. Best thing about it, the aroma: pineapple fruit punch.

330ml bottle poured into a teku glass.
It pours a hazy golden color with some orange shade and a finger of creamy white head. The head stands for a while with decent retention before sinking to some bubble patch on the surface and leaving some lacing in form of patch and spot.
Intense hop in a nose, it reflects of tropical, very juicy, grapefruit, lime, grape, berry, pine, resin, floral, some spice, and pungent. Malt is sunken behind but still be able to get a touch of bread and biscuit.
The taste is led and dominated by abundant hops that provide wide variety flavors of juicy grapefruit, lime, grape, berry, pine, resin, floral, some spice, and big pungent bitterness. Malt is only in the supporting with its bread and biscuit while bold hop bitterness wraps up again in the finish and quite lasting in the aftertaste together with some residual fruitiness.
Medium body with smooth mouthfeel and lively carbonation, the feeling is crisp and refreshing being not too hefty or flat. Finish is pleasantly dry.
Big and massive IPA to please any hop heads, for the sake of hop and love.

Appearance: It has a murky orange body with the smallest of head that is loose and rocky and doesn’t really develop into anything much but does leave behind a smallish ring and clumps of floating bubble debris but only a speck or two of lace.
Aromatics: Mild grapefruit with an almost barnyard funk. I like to use “complex” only in those cases where I’m not sure what it is I’m smelling… Beyond the citrus notes are some grassy and muddles pot pourri florals. After letting it air a bit I get some sweeter notes that still float around the florals and never really make it to caramel or honey.
Taste: When they say intense hop bitter, they weren’t kidding. It has a super bitter profile that literally warms the throat like good cough medicine, but strangely the strong earthiness that I would expect to linger is actually very well subdued like well trained lion at the circus. It has plenty of flavours rolling around - citrus peel is probably the most prominent just due to the bitterness, but there is also a good pine and resin, plenty of green foliage, wood and earth, and even some biscuity sweetness as well as some stray boozy tendrils at the end.
Feel: The carbonation is pretty much asleep here, but in its stead is a well put together medium body that is rich and voluptuous, the pre-mentioned warming is actually quite nice as it keeps the palate distracted from focusing too much on the lingering bitter.
Overall: A good DIPA, is lacking a bit in the aromoas department but if you like a good malt balanced and very hoppy profile then this ranks up there with some of the best. However, I’d say to fully appreciate it you should be a little knowledgeable about bitters and how they manifest, because as I said, the aromas are little on the muted side so you aren't quite sure what to expect in the flavour. I know if this was one of my first 10 craft beers I would have probably cringed and chased it with a few glasses of water. But luckily I have developed a better palate over the past year so I actually enjoyed it quite a lot.
Pairing : I think instead of just trying to counter this one with some sweet offerings, I’m tempted to say keep it simple with a fine salmon pâté, some aged and/or smoked gourmet cheeses, and olives - with light flavoured crackers or dry dark or light rye bread.

Copper with several fine bubbles rising kind a slow but fast- you know, like Hong Kong rush hour traffic. Half a finger of whitish head.
Tropical fruits, honey, papaya and jackfruit. Some sugar, and a hint of vodka.
Tropical fruits again, soaked in vodka for a very, very long time. So long in fact... I think Wishbeer sold me an old bottle of beer again in which the hops are dead.
Thick and boozy, moderately lightened by a good, foamy carbonation.
As I said, unfortunately its likely an old beer. No visible date which is likely how it was still allowed to be sold. So it tastes, well, not very good. What was probably once something beautiful now tastes like a cheap European high alcohol lager meant to get kids drunk. I am getting some of the tropical notes still however, so I can imagine it was once really good. Got it recently on Wish beer in Bangkok, drinking it Chiang Mai July 15th, 2016.

Citrus, floral, malty scent. Standard golden color. Nice blending of malty sweetness and hoppy bitterness.

I have a cold, so take this with a grain of salt.
L - amber color, slight haze, small head fades fast
S - subdued for a double, grapefruit, pine
T - on the malty side, with tons of bitter hops of the grapefruit and pine sort, reminds me of Stone Ruination 1.0
F - medium to thick feel, with low to medium carbonation, and a little burn on the long bitter finish
O - I appreciate the bitterness, but it lacks the tropical notes of the best DIPAs.
