500ml bottle poured into tulip 12/6/12
A clear light copper with some slow tiny bubbles feeding a two finger head that falls rather quickly and only leaves a few random patches of lace
S tangerine, passion-fruit, lemon, lime, some pineapple and canned peaches, very tropical nose but still has some malty caramel and a little pine, smells great
T not quite as nice as the nose but still pretty solid, much more pine and lots of lime rind, what I smell's still there but toned down just a little, some earthy tones on the finish
M medium bodied with just enough bubbles, a little grit left behind and just a little slick, slightly sticky on the lips with a nice bitter bite
O great IPA coming out of the South Pacific, no booze detected anywhere and very well rounded with a awesome nose
I would've listed this a single IPA and I'm rating it as such, I'll drink this again for sure even though its a little pricy in my neck of the woods. I'm pretty excited to try the other 8 Wired stuff that just entered Alberta, yet another welcome addition to the shelves here

Pours a clean and crisp amber orange in color with a slight white head but little to no retention.
Smells bready and earthy with some light spice (coriander) and caramel malt.
Taste is biscuit malt forward with continued earthy and grassy hop flavor and some slight spice notes as well. A hint of alcohol warmth that you can taste but not really feel.
Mouthfeel left a bit to be desired as it was a bit overly sugar and sweet which left it heavier than I would prefer. Solid for a cooler day but would be tough to find refreshing on a hot summer day.
Overall it is a solid beer and one I am glad I tried. Reminded me very much of an English styled IPA crossed with Belgian (especially biscuit) malts. A unique and different take on the style as compared to the conventional American wisdom.

Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, crystal clear, copper coloring with a thin, filmy, bright white head that starts around a half an inch and settles into a thin, clingy layer. Aromas of light, sweet caramel subtly posting the backbone, supporting a ton of tropical fruit characteristics like papaya, mango, pineapple, and berries. There are some green, vegetative characteristics in the nose, too...not piney, but almost herbal and floral. Flavors are fruity initially, with a quick follow-up from a slight bitterness and roasted characteristic. The tropical fruit platter on the forward tongue remains light but stable, and the bitterness is mild, with a tangy caramel highlight that balances the palate. The body is full, and the carbonation level keeps that body light and slightly effervescent. Aftertaste is a rich sweet and fruity sweet blending, with a hint of resiny hops presence. Smooth, light finish with a fruit punch twist, keeping the tropical theme throughout. The New Zealand hops really give a unique and interesting twist on the American DIPA style. Surprisingly drinkable for the flavor profiles and the slightly increased ABV. Solid brew.
