050 13 526 ... I want to assume that means this was bottled the 50th day of 2013. Poured about three months later into a shaker pint on May 17th.
Appearance: The label is much like Mt. Pleasant's other brews -- a train, with a colored background. This one is purple/pink, making it somewhat eye catching. The beer pours with a two finger head that doesn't last two long. The color is a super hazy purple and brownish hue. Not much lacing.
Smell: Heavy raspberry with a dribble of beer ... definitely heavy on the raspberry, and not much else. The wheat and some malt is also traceable.
Taste: Well, I expect anybody that dislikes fruit beers to hate this one, as it's definitely raspberry forward. It's super easy drinking and has a significant raspberry profile, but I don't find that it's too much. I was a bit iffy on the first sip, but I got into it. There's a tart character on the taste buds as well, which makes this super thirst quenching on a hot day. The after taste has a bit of wheat flavor to let you know that this is a beer. The feel is like a mildly carbonated pop, and is easy to slam if you're super thirsty.
Look, it is what it is ... it's a fruit beer, and it doesn't try to be anything else. A LOT of raspberry, minimal bitterness, a solid sweetness and tartness... this beer would be absolutely fantastic for somebody that isn't a fan of beer and/or craft beer. This isn't a great beer, but it's solid enough for the style. By the end of a bottle it becomes a bit much with the amount of sourness and sweetness, but that's just enough for me... I couldn't have much more. Another good beer from Mt. Pleasant.

Pours a darkish red ale, with loads of yeasty unfiltered goodness. Nose has wheaty, grassy notes, some barnyard, leather and funk too. Hardly strong raspberry notes here. Too bad. I'm not sure where the fruit is! Fizzy carbonation, but not as fine as a lambic. Like jolly pumpkin la roja ale. Light. Not great, but a solid offering.

Ick. The raspberry here is a total turnoff for me. Acidic and biting tones remind me more of anything else off the raspberry besides the fruit. Almost like there are leaves in it or something. Eh. These fruit beers are always a waste of time it seems. I'm tired of people making them and I'm tired of feeling compelled to try them.

A - Poured out a clear, copper color with hints of red. It had a small, short-lived white head that left very little lacing.
S - Aroma was raspberry. Not much else - some grain and caramel.
T - It tasted of some light raspberry flavor some very muted wheat notes.
M - It was fairly thin and weak. A light bodied ale with a dry finish.
O - This is just an okay raspberry wheat. It may have been old, but I didn't see a date.

12oz bottle
Served in a perfect pint glass
A - It has a rosy hue to it and is clear. It had a fleeting white head.
S - Big raspberry nose with some muted typical wheat aromas.
T - Dominated by raspberry. Almost has a raspberry cream taste to it. It is hard to discern much else.
M - Thin with a little chalkiness on my tongue.
O - If your in the mood for a big raspberry beer then give it a try.

Bottled from Mt Pleasant Brewery.
I was hoping this one would be good because it sounded good and I thought my wife would dig it. Neither of us liked it at all. Tasted more like wine than a beer, and not a very good wine at that. We both love raspberries, but in a beer it just adds an odd taste to a beer...a taste that shouldn't be there. It was hard to finish this one and ended up dumping over half of it. Not drinkable, not recommended.

Not my usual cup of tea but alas...
Poured into Great Lakes Chalice from bottle purchased in Mount Pleasant on 3/7/11. No dating on bottle whatsoever.
appearance: This got my highest score for this brew because it really is a great looking beer. An aggressive pour produced three fingers of fizzy white head (not very thick). The beer is a beautiful reddish-almost orange-ish hue.
smell: Loads of raspberry and a wine like boozy scent.
Taste: again, not my usual cup of tea, but a solid brew. Lots of raspberry sweetness taste up front with a slightly hoppy aftertaste of booze. Mouthfeel is somewhat lacking IMO. I figured this would be a more voluminous ale. Drink ability for me is low. Not likely to purchase again as I originally purchased a six pack of the Cow Catcher Red Ale (their IPA was sold out) and was surprised by some prankster switching out two of my cow catchers for two of these rasp wheat ales. Oh well, its another tick. And a pretty solid brew if Raspberry wheat ales are your bag baby.

Got this beer from a good buddy in michigan. 12oz bottle ...
A: a nice golden copper with hints of ruby red blended in. Decent.
S: a heavy raspberry breadiness upfront with some very faint hops buried by the raspberry. Decent.
T: some malty raspberry upfront quickly followed by bready wheat. Hints of cherry blended in. Decent.
M: full bodied with a very good carbonation feel. Very good.
D: goes down at a decent pace one you get past the super heavy raspberry. Decent.
All in all, this is an ok brew. Nothing special. Don't bother hunting, and don't make it a staple to drink regularly. Just ok.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, Railyard is a hazy, copper-orange color with virtually no head to speak of. The smell definitely yells "Raspberries" but is almost sickly sweet. The taste is similar but slightly offset by the wheaty backdrop... still very sweet. Mouthfeel is thin and crisp, carbonation is slightly mouth burning. Overall, not a drinkable beer for me, way too sweet and not enough balance. Tastes more like a wine-cooler than a beer.

Pours a reddish brown with a pinkish head. I think this was a really good summer beer. It was a little on the sweet side for me, but was very drinkable. I haven't had too many fruity wheat beers, but thought this was quite good...definitely better than the short's soft parade I had last week.

Poured into a wheat beer glass. Poured a hazy reddish color, obviously from the raspberry juice added. Gave about an inch worth of head that was kind of off-white with a pinkish, purplish tinting.
Smells of raspberries, wheat and a faint bit of hops that was almost undetectable.
Very sweet taste, and slightly tart. It has a slight bitter aftertaste which helped to balance out the sweetness.
Finishes clean, and is very refreshing. Especially on a hot summers day with humidity.

On-Tap at the brewery. For a fruit beer this was a nice surprise; it had a reddish color with a pale tint and smelled of raspberries. The beer tasted good with raspberry sweetness as the main flavor. It reminded me of a weaker wheat version of the Lindeman's Framboise. Very drinkable and bubbly.
