Tap

Pours a deep clear dark brown with a fine, pillowy off-white head.

Smells lightly of nuts and biscuits with some brown sugar malt.

Flavor is of brown sugar malts with a bit of toasty underbelly and a nutty hop bitterness.

Medium to light body with a creamy carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

A pretty good ESB with nice flavor. Very drinkable and worth trying.

Served on tap at Pies & Pints Fayetteville.

A- pours a dark chestnut brown with some ruby hues, creamy two finger light tan head with great retention and lacing.

S- toasted malts with a bit of dark fruit, not much else, fairly subdued

T- rich and malty with notes of cocoa, caramel, and some smokiness. Balanced well with a sharp hop bitterness, finishes slightly dry with a hop linger.

M- medium body with light-medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel and finish

O- this one is full of flavor and well balanced, would serve well as a session brew.

Appearance: Poured in draft into a pint glass. Color is a transparent brown with a two finger head that slowly disappears.

Aroma: The aroma isn't that strong, but that's expected from a bitter. The bouquet included tons of caramel, malt, and a berry-like note.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied and finishes fairly wet.

Taste: I noticed tons of caramel that sticks through the entire sip with some bitterness half way through. Not all that much going on, but boy is this a solid brew. I could definitely drink this all night.

Overall: This is pretty damn impressive for a bitter! I just wish this was released in a bottle.

Appearance: clear amber in color with a 1" head that slowly falls to some spotty surface bubbles.

Smell: fruit sweetness is all you could detect.

Taste: caramel, ripe red apple sweetness, and a moderate bitterness create a nice flavor profile. A bready flavor shows up late.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Smooth from start to finish. Very mild and short-lived aftertaste.

Drinkability: another easy drinking beer from the brewery. Definite sessionable beer.

(On tap at Star City VFD Brew Fest '10)

Poured a nice mid-copper color with a bit of head and a bit of lacing. Nice light scent, nice maltiness with a nice hint of hops to it. Good taste, a nice Enlgish hop profile (Kent Goldings?) that start smoothly and have a nice aftertaste that lingers just slightly; good malt backbone that keeps it drinkable, with a slightly biscuity flavor. Goes down very well, a very nice ESB.
