This beer is an extremely pale white gold color. A thin, bubbly, perfectly white head caps it at about 3/4 fingers at its highest. Retention is pretty good, and it sticks around for a bit. Some lacing mingles around the walls of the glass.
This beer smells a bit like White Rajah to me, hoppier on the nose than the flavor; there are some great aromatic hops here. Pale malt balances it out. Maybe it's just how fresh it is, as I don't see much talk about the aroma. Of course it's not as powerful as WR, but it's very nice overall.
The flavor is interesting given the nose. It's definitely a pale ale, and not a bad one. But stronger than the raw pine and citrus hops are softer notes of pale fruit flesh and a strongly vinous note. Still, it's nicely hopped for a pale ale, and has a good depth and balance.
Good carbonation in a solid body that's stronger than the look would imply give this a sturdy crispness and keep it smooth consistently through.

Pours a hazy straw with about an inch of head. Mild lace sticks to the glass.
Pale malts and floral hops dominate the smell. Some citrus and grass are also noticable in the background. Nice, light and inviting.
The first thing I taste is country white bread. This is quickly followed by some nice light lemon and fresh cut grass. It has a nice, quick, bitter floral finish. Light and crisp in the mouth. Not too heavy on the carbonation.
I've been pretty impressed with the Cismontane lineup so far. For 4.5% this had a good ammount of flavor. A great beer for a hot day.

Pours a hazy light yellow-orange with a foamy bone colored head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy patches of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, herbal hops, and some vegetal onion and garlic aromas. Taste is much the same with mainly vegetal hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer with a hop presence that isn't all that balanced in my opinion.

I know it's the quest for flavorful, lower-alcohol beers, but this one is shockingly perfumey and bitter. Really pale golden color in the tall glass. Not much of a head and the bubbles are noticeably coarser than most beers.
That resiny taste obliterates any hint of malt. The bitterness starts almost immediately. Label claims 45 IBU, which for once I believe. Aroma is all hops with a touch of cat pee, if I'm not mistaken. I struggle to find anything else to describe about this beer, but I'm hoping it will stay carbonated long enough for me to open something less hoppy to mix it with. The actual hop oils and aromas are both bold and interesting.
I have had some good beer from Cismontane but this is not one to remember. At least I don't remember finishing the bottle.

Thanks to jibboom54 for sending as an extra!
A: pale yellow, clear, thin but steady head
S: a very small amount of citrus-like hops, but this is mostly pale malt
T: good bitterness against the malt flavor, with some earthy tones and a small amount of fruitiness
M: thin and refreshing feeling, but could improve drastically with more carbonation
O: decent offering, but doesn't quite hold up to some of the crazy APAs out there. If this were given to me years ago, it would hold its own and maybe be a bit too much flavor. Innovation has killed this small XPA for me.

I'm assuming this is the new and improved version of their pale ale. Comes in a one pint bottle, which is a good breakway from the common 22 ounce bottle. On to the beer:
Looks a paler golden color in the glass, and there isn;t much of a head formed from the pour. Initially an inch thick before it drops to paper thin lace. The nose is delightful and very attractive; soft yet vibrant fruits hit the nose, primarily canteloupe, honeydue, orange slices, and pineapple. If anything, it smells like a New Zealand pale ale than an American one.
Something got lost in the translation. The succulent fruits take on some bitter melon flavor and a bitter pine note. There isn't much perceived malt to taste, which partially explains why the taste is rather bitter. Initially it has a saopy water accent, though that clears away. The body is very light and the carbonation is very soft with a tickle of itself.
It isn't the most amazing pale ale that I've tasted. That said, I should grant Cismontane some respect just for going down a completely different path, as the character is not typical American.

Poured a fantastic orange with a half finger head. Looks sticky, and leaves some lacing on the glass. Smells of fresh citrus with a touch of fresh cut grass. Very fresh smelling. Taste first hits you with subtle malty citrus then transitions to where the hops really come in at the end. The piney citrus hits the back end and sticks on your tongue. It's not overly bitter but I would say definitely more of a hop profile than what I was expecting from a pale ale. Overall, its a nicely done pale ale, and different than others. Definitely worth a try, and it's a rebuy for me.

This poured out as a hezy yellow color with a thin white head on top. The lacing was decent and the retention was also pretty good. The smell of the beer was a little off in my opinion. Wasn't really sure why it smelled bad to me. There were some subtle citrus notes in there but not enough to covered the funkiness of it. The taste of the beer is hoppy, and has a light malt balance in there. The mouthfeel of the beer was thin, carbonation was kinda high but still drinkable. Overall it's not terrible but I wouldn't need to have it again.
