[12.5 deg. Plato 80% AA 20 IBU] [ABV ~5.0%]

"American-style Hefe with 60% wheat malt. Unmalted Pendleton wheat gives this brew a fresh bread-like flavor. We will even serve it with a lemon or grapefruit if you ask us to. Clean and crisp, our Hefe features a modest amount of Sterling hops."

Growler taken to BBQ, $11. Named after music festival in nearby Helix, Oregon. The "Hefeweizen" and "American Pale Wheat Ale" are both incorrect. Though it started off as a Hefeweizen, under new brewer this should now be classified as American Dark Wheat Ale.

Medium brown body a bit hazy, two fingers light tan head, dissipation a bit on the slow side, good lacking. Bready and caramel malt notes dominate the nose, grassy hops. Taste is a bit biscuity, not a lot of caramel flavor, slight bitterness from hops on back end. Mouthfeel a bit on the light side of medium, decent effervescence. An interesting beer, though lacking in the complexity of Barley Brown's Shredder's Wheat, IMO the benchmark for the style.

Serving type: growler
