Came here early on a Friday at the end of a business trip. It's right next door to Sansui, across the street from the police station at Shibuya station. It opened at 5:00, and I was the only customer for about an hour and a half.
They have four import taps (they had Hoegaarden, Guinness, Lowenbrau, and Yeti Imperial Stout) and the rest are Japanese craft beers. They have a cask handle as well, which had a very tasty Japanese pale ale on it. Most beers are 900 yen each for ~12oz; a pint of Guinness or a pint of Yeti were 980 yen each. I believe this is not unreasonable for craft beer in Tokyo, but I don't have enough experience to really say.
Two people were working, one of whom was friendly. Both had enough English to have fairly broken conversations about beer, the bar, and their clientele. They order tiny little 10L kegs, which last "about a day", so there tap menu must rotate very quickly. I'm not sure I believe this. I think they archive their menus on their web site, so you might be able to back track and check, if you're really curious. The beers I tasted (all Japanese) seemed in very good shape.
The less friendly of the two workers may have been the owner; he told me he's responsible for picking the beers they put on tap. For Japanese beers, he seems to reference a book associated with this web site:
and go by his own personal taste. For imports, he goes by the beers he likes at festivals and tastings.
They get some negative points for their music. It was horrible -- dance/club covers of once-popular American music, such as Green Day. To make matters worse, they had one album on loop, so I heard a horrible version of Basket Case three times during my visit.
Don't trust the tap handles. Trust the menu.
I'll go back the next time I get a chance.
