Served at Ashley's on draft.
Looks like a straight glass of dirty motor oil. No head, looks a viscous yellow-hued deep brown against the light.
Smell is a bitter coffee blast with a strong dark-roasted peanut aroma. Smells good, but not creamy or chocolatey as I expected.
Tastes like a sweet bitter coffee with a strong salty peanut aftertaste. Again, no chocolate flavor to speak of, unless you've had a peanut butter cup made with 88% Cacao, which I'm not sure exists. I expected more out of this one after having the Mayan Mocha Stout by comparison.
Mouthfeel is great for a stout. Not too bubbly and not too thick, I find the texture of this to be its strong suit. Even leaves a nice Guinnessy coating to the back of the throat. Easy to drink.
Overall I had higher hopes for this. Near the end of the pint the full flavor lulls its way in, which I love, but I get the idea that the full flavor of this gets out after a pint or two, which I don't have the time for at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'd drink this all night, but I want the gusto in one pint! I'd order it again, but of the Odd Side stouts I've tasted, this wouldn't rank as one of the most dynamic.

On tap at Old Chicago. Pours a nearly black, deep brown color with some light breaking through the outer edges and surfaces. Khaki head is a bit frothy and settles pretty quickly to a quarter inch that lasted for a while. Aroma filled with cocoa and sweet, sweet milk chocolate. Peanut butter notes abound; this thing smells like I would imagine a liquid Reese's Cup smelling, only with a little more of a roasted malt character. I was skeptical as to how this would taste, but upon taking one sip - I was sold. The roasted, chocolate malts are definitely the strongest character here, providing a nice base upon which the beer stands. Lots of roastiness, some sweetness, and a touch of char. The peanut butter flavor peaks it's head through the malt bill in swatches here and there, but it's definitely apparent with each and every sip. I was afraid the peanut butter would be overly sweet and cloying, or too powerful to appreciate, but I'll be damned if they didn't get the PB amount spot on. Nuttiness all around with just a touch of ashy and bittersweet florals on the end notes, with the lasting tastes of roasted Reese's Cup to last you til the next sip. Creamy mouth, good amount of carbonation.
This was only the second beer I've tried from Odd Side Ales (after the Pineapple IPA), and I've been pretty impressed with both. I couldn't imagine a Peanut Butter Cup stout being executed any better than this.

Pours a slight garnet/black with a hint of lace and head.
Very mild smell, slight chocolate and a hint of peanut. You can see the peanut oil floating on the top of the beer.
Tastes very mild, not much chocolate or peanut butter. Thin mouthfeel and a dry finish. Fairly disappointing as I was hoping for some real over the top flavors.
