Poured into an Elysian snifter. Pour pitch black with a thin film of light brown head with a ring around the glass. Nice aroma of toasted malt, coffee and a hint of chocolate. Flavor follows aroma, dominated by toasted malt and charred coffee with hints of chocolate and licorice, finishing roasty with a bit of hop bitterness. Medium bodied with a hint of creaminess. A nice imperial stout that hits all the right notes, the charred coffee element fit well and melded with the other flavors. Glad I could try this and I hope to see it again.

22oz bottle poured into a large snifter
Pours tarry black with very little head. Head forms as a thin pale ring around the glass. Fine slow carbonation continue. Smell is mostly licorice, a little coffee, some smokiness.
Taste is really nice bittersweet. Very roasty, some coffee, backed with some nice sweetness. Well balanced, very tasty indeed.
Mouthfeel is thin and light for an imperial stout. Overall, I think this beer is quite good.

A: Poured jet black, sordove slow and sluggish with a big body, lower carbonation left a slow rise of small creamy brown cap. Minimal lacing observed with light decent head retnetion.
S: A big roastiness on the nose, some bitter dark chocolate, black coffee and light booze sting on the nostrils
T: Immediate vicous roasted malt, with a competing blend of coffee, bitter dark and milk chocolate, with perhaps a black patent malt base and pinch of black licorice. A little booze stng evident and the finish is rather dry, somewhat creamy and somewhat decadent
M: Pretty hearty, big bodied, lower carbonation gave it a big feel and alot of the really camps out on the palate which I like
O: Good stout from Airways! I would definitely drink it again.

A: Beautiful dark obsidian pour, thinner lacing than I like too see in an imperial stout.
S: dark roast (coffee, chocolate)
T: Drinking it fairly fresh, starts off nice and roasty and the hop bite pounds through on the finish.
M: Lowest score of the 5, bit thin, but not too much...
O: Nice stout Alex, glad you stepped up with an Imperial and had the eggs to bottle it!
