Notes:
Florence (1915-1967) was our grandfather’s sister, and Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to her and her 13 siblings. In her honor, this Belgian inspired Wheat ale is crafted from American malted barley, Organic Vermont wheat, European and American hops, our distinctive farmhouse yeast and water from our well. It is unfiltered and naturally carbonated. Soft, cloudy, and fresh, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Florence.
Pale Malt; Vermont Organic Wheat; American and European Hops; Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Pours a light golden color with a foamy bright white head on top. Lots of yeast character on the nose. Strong fruity notes mixed in with some peppery spice notes. A little bit of earthy aromas can be found but plays a rather minor role.
A very delicate array of flavors takes over on that palate without having any one dominating character. Bready malt backbone sets a nice foundation for the fruitiness of the yeast to build upon. Finishes with a bit of a lingering musty and spicy note that reminds you this is a farmhouse ale.
Wonderfully light and refreshing on the mouthfeel but doesn't quite have the bubbly crispness I like in a saison. Overall, a very tasty saison but it doesn't quite stand out above the rest like some other HF beers.

pours a hazy bright straw yellow, big puffy white head. eventually fades to light retention.
sharp floral hops and lively wheat, very forward
flavors are fairly light through out. a dominating wheat and malt body carry through out. a faint and light floral hop presence ads a crispness that pops the flavors in your mouth.
lots of sharp carbonation, adds to flavor, keeps it interesting. light as can be.
good, very good. if i lived near HF, i would drink many. not something i would trade for again most likely but overall very good.

Super neat bottle art.
A - Very light yellow. Looks like piss, in a great way.
S - Smells like saison. Lemon, zesty. Lots of floral notes, in a lemony way.
T - Goood. Super gooood actually. I dig it! So much.
M - Dry. Like a desert.
O - Lovely little saison. Super lovely. Lemons.

A: Very pale yellow color. I would have thought this was a berliner or something like that. Surprisingly clear, very little haziness. A huge, white, frothy head.
S: Very smooth aroma. Fruity, banana (almost like a witbier) along with wheat, and a tiny bit of brett earthy/funkiness. Smells sweet, almost like honey.
T: Wheat, lemons, honey. A bit floral/peppery and a tiny bit of tartness. Not very much going on but this doesn't need it. It's great as it is.
M: Light/medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Dry finish.
O: This is probably my least favorite HF so far and even then it's an excellent beer. I would gladly drink this again.
