Sampled at Vices & Versa 06AUG2004
Nice reddish honey coloured ale with a thick creamy cascading head, that held on strong all the way down.
Had a very light, somewhat grainy smell. Not much going on in that department.
Taste however, was another thing altogether. The malt makes it's presence felt big time, the mouthfeel is very rich and creamy, great body. I'll definately come back for more.

This was darker in appearance and closer to amber than I expected considering the name. Low carbonation is a theme at this micro. This did pour with a beautiful creamy draft head that remained throughout. The beer also had a slight cloudiness to it that in combination with the color seems inappropriate for the style. A very present hop nose and flavor. This was the hoppiest offering off all the beers I tried that night. Fairly balanced in flavor with a nice caramel malt residue mixing with strong flavor hop. I also had the distinct background flavor of apricot in the aftertaste. This was definitely a good beer but I don't believe it belongs in the Cream Ale category.
