330 ml bottle with tear-off cap, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Bottle conditioned. ABV is 7.0%. Pitch black colour, large tan head. Very nice roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, mild coffee and tar, a hint of liquorice. The flavour is moderately roasty and fairly dry, with strong notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Just a slight fruity acidity. The finish has a solid hoppy and roasty bitterness. Slightly salty aftertaste. Very good.

Really good stout. Not as good as the OG Guinness though. More complex flavors going on in this one.

Had on tap. Has pronounced coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malt notes. There is a milk chocolate sweetness on finish along with a cake like taste. Smell is boozier than taste. Decent thickness to creamy body.

I'm drinking the 2016 bottling, 20th anniversary edition, which has the 6.5% abv... Malts used: Pale, Black, and Crystal, with flaked and roasted barley. Hops used: Galena, Nugget, and East Kent Goldings.

Brown-black pour is thoroughly black in the glass, under a fat dark foam head a coupla fingers high in my nonic pint. Aromas and flavors are rich, suggesting dark-roasted coffee, roasted bittersweet chocolate, and a mild molasses sweetness that adds some stickiness before a drying finish. Sweetness is very mild, bitterness forward and roasty. The feel is light-ish-bodied and creamy - super-smooth, with a plush, soft body.

A beer style I don't visit often, I could easily drink a bunch of these. Absolutely delightful. I'm assuming the "15 04 18" on the side is a best by dating of April 15th, 2018... If this beer tasted better than this fresh, it musta been a game-changer. Don't hesitate to grab a bottle if you spot it this winter...

From elcervecero. In Teku glass. Playing Magic 2015. Low ABV but still full of taste and aroma. Great balance between roastyness, sweetness and bitterness with some spicyness too. At the end of the glass yeast seem to concentrate spoiling the last 2 sips though
