I had this beer back when it was still on tap at Vintage and it blew my mind. While Pumpking is still the best pumpkin beer I've ever had this one overtook Painted Ladies as my number two and it wasn't even that close. The spices and pumpkin flavoring were great but the dark malt is what really separated this pumpkin beer from others. I can't wait to try it again next year.

Sampled 10/9/2010 at the brewpub.

Pours dark red/brown, murky, beige head, not much in the way of lacing or retention.

Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, and caramel.

Flavor is pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, low bitterness. A bit light on the pumpkin, easy on the spices. Not a bad beer over all but could stand to be more of a Pumpkin Ale.

Body is medium/heavy, a little low in CO2, and kind of drinkable.
