Very cold bottle poured into Stone IRS glass. Bottles July 2012.

A. Between 1 and 2 finger white foamy head forms that slowly goes down leaving behind some lacing and rocky foam. The body is a hazy orange burst that reminds me of a middle school photo shot. Carbonation is pretty active in the glass when I play around with it. Looks pretty nice.

S. Grassy and piney hops come out big time right away. Some bitter citrus like lemon and grapefruit are present behind the pine. Somewhat sweet toward the end of the nose.

T. Piney green bitterness upfront that fades to some grapefruit. Malt comes out in the middle when the bitterness comes down. Finish is pretty tame with a light floral and citrus flavor. Interesting IPA but I feel its missing anther component.

M. Medium to heavier thickness on the tongue and finished somewhat sticky. Somewhats heavy carbonation explodes after every sip making a pretty full feeling beer.

O. I like how Wormtown utilized hops in every possible area of the brew. Definitely an interesting brew and glad I was able to drink one.

Ordered on tap at Mead Hall, Wormtown Tulip.

A - Pours a nice orange almost copper color. Perfect lacing in my opinion with about one and a half fingers worth.

S- Insane orange peel smell with a hint of candy if you will.

T - The orange/citrus is pretty obvious in first taste. After a few more I got a almost marmalade glaze taste mixed with the citrus.

M - Mouthfeel is very average and the booze is hidden very well.

O - Overall this was actually my first tasting of a WT beer. I'd recco it and have again, not a top three dipa but pretty good.

On-tap at Union Brew House in Weymouth, MA.

Beautiful golden yellow in color with a big white head. Good lace. Massive hop explosion in the nose and taste. I thought these were NZ hops at first because they're super resiny and dank. Sticky, woody, piney. Plenty of tropical fruits. A serious hop bomb but doesn't overdo it. A pleasurable drinking experience full of fresh hoppy goodness. Very smooth but sticky mouthful. The IBUs can creep up on ya. Overall, a super delicious DIPA.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from Yankee Spirits, Sturbridge, MA.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" off-white head over the slightly cloudy golden amber brew. Pillowy head deflates slowly, with sticky lacing. Aroma is surprisingly sedate of hops pine.

Taste is sweet to start, ample citrus backbone, with pine coming on through the close. Mouthfeel very smooth, with excellent drinkability. A bit soft on the hops for the style, but I'm actually good with that. Would buy again, for sure.

22oz. poured into a Shaker Pint. Bottled in April 2013.

A- Straw hay color, almost clear, slightly hazy, thick 2 finger white head that lasts a while.

S- Massive amounts of grapefruit, tropical fruit, and even a good amount of guava. Intoxicating.

T- Piney, more tropical fruit, not as much grapefruit as on the nose, a little pineapple in the finish. Very nice bitter backbone, stands up to the intense aroma and fruit forward flavor. Not much other than base malt in the flavor. Alcohol is very elusive. Scary at 8.5%.

M- Refreshing, resinous, bubbly, crisp. Everything I love about DIPAs.

O- I love the Wormtown "Be Hoppy" IPA, and I had high hopes for this beer as well. Let me tell you; I was blown away by this. What a fantastic hop offering to the gods. Great beer, great flavor!

Poured from 22 oz bomber into my Hill Farmstead glass. Bottled April 2013. Impulse buy tonight and pretty excited to try it.

A: Pours a cloudy orange with a half finger's worth of white head that dissipates into a halo around the edges of the glass. Not all too impressive, but certainly not off-putting.

S: Really nice. Lots of tropical fruits and citrus. This is clearly fresh and I'm happy about it.

T: Not quite as hoppy as the nose was, but still quality. As it warms a bit, the hop presence makes itself known more. Decent-sized malt backbone, but this is definitely hop forward.

M: Carbonation is at the right level and the beer is very drinkable. Not going to mess around with more than a bottle with the ABV, but I'd order a few drafts if I saw it on tap.

O: I'm glad I picked this one up. I really enjoy Be Hoppy and would still pick that over Hopulence, but this isn't far behind. Perhaps a bit pricey for a bomber, but I don't regret this purchase whatsoever.
