Tap at peppercorns
Light creamy head, almost 1 finger light lacing, crystal clear tan slight rosy.
Nose light fruity hops, hint of pine and resin, light malty base, bit of caramel even.
Taste starts creamy malts, sweet malts, hint of booze, light caramel sweetness, toffee and nutty caramel. Then some light fruity hops, hint grassy earthy hops, decent bitterness. Finish is mildly sweet and bit sticky, med bitterness, lingering earthy hops.
Mouth is med bodied, decent carb.
Overall not bad but not great. Not near what Wormtown is capable of making, and not nearly a "West Coast" style IPA as the menu states. Although it's still quite drinkable and fairly tasty overall, just more malty than hoppy and the hops aren't my first choice.

Brewed by Wormtown for Tavern in the Square, the beer was served on-tap in a tumbler pint. It pours a hazy, brown-copper coloring with a densely packer, bubbly, off-white head. Aromas are a bit muddled, with a toffee presence kept clean by a citrus and spice hops character. Flavors are a bit more bold, with a spiced and citrus hop forward character, lead by lemon and pepper. Toffee backbone lends stability to the brew, and cleans the palate up nicely. The aftertaste almost disappears if not for a lingering bitterness left behind. Scant traces of caramel blending with the toffee sweet. Clean, slightly bitter finish with a lemony linger. Not bad.

New IPA served at Wormtown brewed for the Tavern on-the-job Square. This is 75IBUs and a west coast style IPA. Poured into a standard pint glass.
A - Poured a crystal clear light copper hue with a thinnish half finger white head that left thin lacing and a thin blanket.
S - Hmm...very faint aromas here. Very faint citrus (grapefruit) and pine on this with a brief flash of tropics (pineapple) at the end along with bubblegum. Why so faint?
T - There we go. Now that's got west coast qualities. The nice pine and grapefruit is front and center. Strong hop presense with a nice faint pineapple and bubblegum finish. Nice malty sweetness throughout.
M - Mouthfeel is nice for the style, not too thin and fairly carbonated. There is a nice hop oil bitter finish too.
O - Overall I felt this was a solid west coast representation from wormtown. There are plenty of this style out there but why go out if state when you can enjoy a solid local brew?
