This has been available for quite some time now at Peppercorns. Pretty surprised no one had reviewed this yet. Stuff is pretty darn potent at 10.1 % and 110 IBU's. This is their first take at a double IPA and uses three pounds of hops per barrel, including Citra and Sorachi.
A - Deep, dark crystal copper colour with a creamy one finger head that leaves great thick lacing down the sides of the snifter.
S - Bitter hops right upfront with a nice mixture of that piney resin. Fighting through the hops is the fruity aroma of grapefruits. Not picking up on any other citrus notes.
T - More intense nose. Strong, typical bitterness. Alcohol is definately present due to the strength. So hoppy its nearly chewy, just a mouthful of bitter hops and grapefruit.
M - Low/medium carbonation. Almost creamy mouthfeel with a strong bitter finish. Very slight oilyness though.
D - Alcohol not super well hidden, which is understandable as it is 10.1%. Its a good DIPA, not great, but above average. Seems like this has gone down in price over the past month or so. I could have sworn this was more than the $5/snifter I was charged. Still though, their Be Hoppy IPA is much better than this.

Guess I missed reviewing this last time for some reason. Had on tap at Peppercorns.
Big creamy head fades slowly with lots of lacing , semi clear orange red color.
Nose fresh hops, light citrus fruits, juicy hops, slightly tropical, some malty backbone, hops are not too heavy, but malts and touch of booze get ya.
Taste heavy malts, some booze, somewhat bitter, fresh hops, little earthy, spicy, light citrus, semi sweet, chewy hops, light candy flavor. Finishes a bit sticky, bitter, booze, semi sweet malts,
Mouth is med too a bit heavier bodied, some booze, good carb
Overall not bad, a bit boozy but expected for 10%, a nice malt backbone, but the hops just don't wow. It could be that I've come to expect so much from Wormtown cause their beers are usually awesome, or my DIPA expectations are set really high, but either way this was a decent beer but not awesome.
