Bought from the lovely DeCicco's in Carmel NY. My first Blond Abbey Ale.

Opened with a loud pop and an explosion of tasty froth.

A: Beautiful dark straw color with a colossal frothy head. Lots of visible carbonation.

S: Very yeasty and slightly fruity aroma.

T: Yeast taste is prominent. Good amounts of malty tones. Void of any bitterness. Hint of citrus. Good bready flavor that I appreciated. No taste of alcohol at all. Refreshing aftertaste. Wish I had more to say about the flavor, but it wasn't that complex.

M: Nice and bubbly. Frothy feel lingers after swallowing.

O: Not a bad beer, but it's nothing special. Was hoping for a little bit more spices.

Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, honey, pineapple-like fruit, and slight yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice and yeast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Brown stubby bottle with a pry off cap poured in a goblet. From a gift 3 pack with ceramic goblet that I was given for my birthday.

Clear golden yellow. Big bubbly white head is about an inch on an aggressive pour and recedes to a thin cap with lots of lacing on the sides. Loads of tiny carbonation streams.

Kind of a sweet aroma backed by grains. Light grassy/herbal hops.

Lightly sweet with clean grains and hints of bananas, cloves and herbal hops.

Medium bodied with lots of tiny pin prick bubbles of carbonation.

Nothing really special about this one, but nothing wrong with it either. A solid, refreshing brew.
