Bottle thanks to hoppypocket. Glowing orange with huge creamy white foam. Impressive for a 9 year old beer. Aroma is distinctive barnyard, citrus peel, old cheddar and some old lambic (menthol). Taste is out of this world. It feels so fresh while being bone dry. Lots of citrus, must and some herbs. Feels like orange juice, nice moderate acidity with orange sweetness. Lively carbonation and light bodied. Awesome and refined, the best of the tasting and probably the best gueuze I've had.

Thanks to totoropanda for the bottle. Opened at our whales tasting 3/16/2013.
Pours a bright almost neon orange, huge froth head with long trails of lace. Epic.
Smells funky as hell. Bright acidic orange, bready wheat, dry funk, wet horse and the rest. Hell yeah.
Taste is bright orange, fairly acidic but also somewhat softened with age, grainy/wheaty finish. Delicious.
Great mouthfeel, soft and great carbonation. Doesn't burn despite being very sour.
Yeah I do like this!

750 mL bottle, thanks for sharing Brad.
Pours a dirty golden orange with a retentive finger of white head. Extremely musty and funky nose, lemon sourness, tart apple, lactic and slightly sweet. Flavor has a slight sulfur hint and is more funky than sour. Lemon acidity, tart under ripe green apple, grass, musty funk in flavor; all incredibly balanced without any one dimension dominating each taste. Medium thick, well carbonated, soft body with a crisp, dry finish. Lovely.

Shared with JLindros and company at the last whale tasting. Reviewed from notes. 2003 vintage.
A - Poured into my Kate the Great tulip a nice hazy gold with a one finger white head that fades to leave a thin little blanket with halo. Seriously though, with a touch of the cage this beer errupted out of the bottle.
S - Super, super sharp funk. Rich and potent and powerful stuff here. Nice and earthy, faint flashes of malt. You can almost smell this from across the room.
T - Taste is super funky and super dry/tart. Like an old funky cheese. Delicious. Just insane the amount of funk in this beer. So musty and barnyard like. Floored.
M - Mouthfeel is very good carbonation, so tart and so absurdly funky. Excellent.
O - Overall this was an OMG bottle. Never figured I would get to try one of these. Next up is Blaebear and Isabelle!

Generously opened by blatantdream alongside Roze at our big sour tasting last night. Thanks!
Loud pop from the cork announces its arrival, though Blauw kindly follows my house rules and doesn't gush. Impressively carbonated for a 9-year-old beer. Slightly hazy, golden-amber body sports tiny white bubbles up top.
Wow, the nose is incredible! Rich, potent funk; citrus; earthy yeast; a touch of sweet malt in the middle; hints of fruit. And again, its potency is impressive. My gf kept a small pour of this in a separate glass so she could smell it for the rest of the night.
Tasting reveals Blauw's delicate complexity. Tart and citrusy at first, mildly grassy in the middle, fades into a dry & funky finish. Rays of ripe fruit flavor shine through intermittently. Impressively layered; a joyous beverage to sip.
While I typically prefer fruit lambics to gueuze, this was phenomenal. Roze, by contrast, was overly grassy/earthy and not nearly as good. Blauw ranks among the best gueuze I've ever had.
