Poured from a bomber

A - light red almost purplish hue in a otherwise translucent orangish appearance. White foam, good head retention.

S - smells lactic-y sour, some berry fruit notes, little bit of vinegar grape

T - pretty good punch of sour right off the bat, lactic sour that hit in the back of the jaw bone. I like sours sour, and this one delivers. There is some fruity over tones. Not much in the way of blackberry, if I really thought about it, you can pick up some slight fruit peel type blackberry. Really good.

M - medium carb, medium feel

O - haven't tried a whole bunch of sours, but I really liked this one. It was plenty sour, but also had a nice mellow flavor profile that matched well with the level of sourness. If I had access to this, I would pick it up regularly.

750mL bottle poured into pint glasses due to lack of glassware - thanks for this extra, I forget who sent it at the moment

Hazy golden orange pour with a pinkish hue. Crop of white head dissipates pretty quickly, leaving little retention or lacing behind.

Acidic fruit in the nose with funky yeast and dark fruit. Blackberries and oak with red wine and grape skins.

Snap of biting sourness up front with blackberries, red grapes and currants. Oaky and vinous with plenty of red wine character and an earthy touch. Funky wild yeast, barnyard and jammy berry fruit sweetness. Mild backbone with oak and red wine, followed by continuing acidic sourness in the finish.

Medium body, higher carbonation, bubbly, dry and lingering on the tongue. A solid dark wild ale with plenty of berry fruit flavor, but doesn't quite stack up to some of the top flight sour producers.

Big thanks goes out to beeruser for sharing this one at a recent Random Sunday Tasting! Poured a hazy red-orange with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, blackberry, tart, sour, and funk. The flavor was of sweet malt, blackberry, tart, funk, and fruit. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. While there was not a huge bit of complexity this one was actually quite good. All of the flavors and aromas going on were very complimentary of each other and made this one quite enjoyable for me. I could definitely drink quite a bit of this one given the opportunity. I have to give it to Rivertown on their sours as they are definitely onto something here.

A: The beer is slightly hazy and is reddish yellow in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of large bubbles on the surface.
S: There are moderate to strong aromas of sour funk in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the taste is rather sour but not as much as you would have expected because there are notes of blackberry flavors. The finish has lingering notes of oak from the barrel aging.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and very tart on the palate and has a low to moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed this wild ale because the blackberries help to balance out the sourness and make this drinkable.
