Thanks to John11486 for sharing this one at jmgrub's birthday tasting.
Pours a murky crimson-brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark malt, cocoa, and dark fruits. Taste is much the same with cocoa and mild bourbon flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but the barrel aged presence is pretty mild all around.

A- Black with a three finger mocha head.
S- Dark fruits, chocolate, grapes, oak, roasted malts, some bourbon.
T- Chocolate, dark fruits, grapes, oak, roasted malts, some vanilla, getting some bourbon in the finish.
M- Light to medium body, could be thicker.
O- Overall is a good beer, I kind of wish I had picked up the red wine version.

Thanks to yourefragile for the assist.
Pours near black with a in light tan head and a bit of a collar. The nose has a bit of roast and chocolate plus a good dose of bourbon. Flavor is more bourbon heavy with chocolate and rot in the background. Really smooth medium body with good carbonation. Quite tasty.

On tap at Maxs. "8.4% dark farmhouse ale aged 10 months in Jack Daniels barrels".
Pours a clear dark chocolate with a large tan head that slowly fades to a thin collar with some legs but no lacing. Aroma is fruity and boozy. The roast and mild lactic sweetness of the base beer cone through as the beer warms with mild milk chocolate, whiskey and coconut. Medium thick creamy body with light carbonation and a sweet sticky finish. Smooth balanced flavor that blends the barrel subtly into the base and cuts out much of the creamy lactic after taste that I don't like in regular Folklore. Dark fruit, plums, figs and grapes blend with vanilla, milk chocolate and smooth booze. The JD was much stronger cold and this oddly became less boozy and more fruity as it warmed. Better than the other Folklore treatments but something is missing.
