Picked this up at the Davis Beer Shoppe
Translucent burnt orange, autumn leaves
Smells like saison yeast and alcohol, shortbread (buttery cookies)
Heavy carbonation in mouth, but low foam when poured into snifter
Tastes like honey nut cheerios, and straw/hay (although I have never tried straw or hay)
Good balance between yeast, alcohol, honey, and other notes
When it warmed up it had a bitter aftertaste
This was a solid saison.
I’ll have another.

Pours a pretty clear orange hue. Great head retention! Tiny bubbles.
Nose is super grassy and citrusy. Lemongrass. Earthy spice. Chamomile. Floral.
Earthy, yeasty spice upfront. Lemon pepper and grass. Sugary sweet, honeysuckle. Finish is pretty dry though. Fairly complex.
Spritzy mouthfeel, like sprite soda. Pretty refreshing. Medium body.
Overall, very characterful saison. I don't think this is the freshest bottle so not a lot of hoppiness comes through, but that's okay. Perfect for a hot summer day. Would drink this again.

12 oz. bottle. Bottled 02/19/13.
Some haze in a golden peach body. Nice, rocky, effervescent, light bright beige head. Great lacing up the sides of the tulip. Candyish, slightly fruity malt aromas blend with some faintly metallic cheese funk, and some herbal, vegetal hop notes. Nice yeasty nose overall.
Toasted malts and herbal, woody bitterness up front. Sweetish, slightly fruity banana malt fills in the palate. Peppery, spicy, herbal bitterness around the edges and increases into the finish. Yeasty, slightly funky notes. Dries out some in the finish. Lingering peppery bitterness and bananas. Medium body with a lively feel. A nice, easy drinking saison, with just enough funk and peppery bitterness.

Bought in bottle but poured into glass. Way way too much carbonation to enjoy beer as fully as I should be able to. The color and haze are very nice and the smell is fantastic. Unfortunately the dry, somewhat bland taste is quite a disappointment....combine that with the subpar mouthfeel due to the carbonation and I graded this as a bit better than ok. I would drink it again, but only if someone else was buying.

Served from a 12oz bottle into an Affligem Goblet. Hot 89 degree day in NH.
Appearance- Hazy golden with big chunks floating around. Minimal head, but appears to have ample carbonation.
Smell- Lemon, bananna, clove, coriander, and floral hop notes. Nothing special here. Remind me of any old saison.
Taste- Very yeasty/bready with light peppery notes. Pretty hop forward, but even though its a fresh bottle, hops taste muted and subdued, not in a bad way though. Dry. Dry. Dry.
Mouthfeel- Nice and carbonated. Refreshing, but dry. Doesn't stick around the palate for too long.
Overall- Nothing spectacular, but worth the single price I payed for it. I'll definantly try other Stillwater offerings, especially now that they're in 4 packs.

Pours a clear golden honey orange, Sediment from conditioning gives it a hazy complexion.
A tall head sits on top and is bright white. Lacing abounds. Billowing amounts of carbonation. Billowing.
Smells dry and tart with plentyof floral hops wheat and pilsner malts yeast and spices.
Taste is sweet malts honey and caramel dry tart hops having floral and perhaps even tropical notes yeasty esters gave a slight spicey taste but quite sutle.
Drinks on the medium side but also has a lightness due to billowing carbonation.
Finishes sweet dry and bitter. An excellent saison that surely could compete with the more famous ones.

Pours bright orange with a chill haze, a head that disappears but leaves a bubbly foam ring and some splashy lace.
Dried malt, some yeast, some peach nectar and perfume, white pepper in the nose.
On the dry side, but just a drop of fruit (needed). Some yeast and white pepper, some woody flavors, moderate bitterness, a little grass. Mild fruit and bitterness at the finish with some light funk.
Nice carbonation here. Light-medium in body. Fizzy on the tongue.
Not as much flavor depth as imported version, but this one works well. Nice balance, easier drinking as you get thru the glass.
