I went here with my wife, my mother and my mother-in-law to celebrate my birthday. I've met the brewmaster, Doug, at Cigar City and wanted to try his beers at his place.
It's a great place: A former house right off the water in the arts district of Gulfport in south Pinellas. Lots of trees and greenery. There are a couple of tables inside, a bunch on their covered deck and more in their garden. The breezes from the water kept us cool.
They don't take credit cards, which is a bit annoying. They do have an ATM on site, if you don't mind the fees.
They have wide selection of commercial brews for a smaller place, but I came for Doug's beers. They had Square Dancing Cody Double IPA, The Dude Porter and Citra IPA on tap. I got a four-beer flight and picked Cigar City's Maduro for my fourth, since their Hunahpu's Imperial Stout (which I was very impressed to see on-tap) didn't count.
I also really liked their beer menu, which was divided by region, with all the Florida craft beers placed together. I haven't seen this before, but I loved it. Great idea.
All the beers were good, with Citra and Square Dancing Cody being my favorites. I had a glass of Citra, which was wonderfully hoppy and bitter. Square Dancing Cody -- of course -- was also hoppy and bitter while adding a big malt sweetness and alcohol flavor.
Our server was very friendly and attentive, though she forgot a couple of things we ordered throughout the meal. She quickly fixed them and was very apologetic.
The food was quite good. I had the fish tacos, my wife had the sweet potato burrito, my mom had their sugar shrimp and my mother-in-law had their cheese quesadillas. Very fresh ingredients and lots of great flavors. We all were very impressed with the food. This isn't your typical greasy Mexican food with fried this and refried that. It's much, much better.
Prices were reasonable, not inexpensive, but this place is right off the water.
Overall all four of us were very impressed and will definitely be coming back. It's a great place and has lots to offer for everyone, not just beer geeks.

My wife said it best: "The highlight of our recent vacation."
Yep, this was an add-on to our recent vacation to Disney and Universal. We actually took and entire day our to do this.
Atmosphere: Being from the Midwest, I actually thought the location was very cool. Somewhat near the water, palm trees……. you know the rest.
Quality and Service: Great. The woman who waited on us actually gave us a pour of Rare DOS. Nice!
Selection: Pretty much every entry we tried was great, with a shout out to "Cream and Sugar Please."
Food: Like many Florida places, this one has great vegetarian options. My wife ordered the "Mediterranean" pizza. Good stuff.
Value: Compared to DC (my area), this place was very reasonable.
