My girlfriend and I took an impromptu trip one Friday and ended up at Peg's. We had heard about the good beer being brewed there, and we wanted a nice lunch and a few brews. The place is SMALL, two small tables and a bar that might seat ten inside. Most of the tables are outside on the deck, or on the lawn around the building. It used to be a small bungalow that has been transformed into a restaurant.
The service is very friendly, and they know their beer! Ask a few questions and if your server can't answer the brewer may come out to talk to you! Very helpful making choices.
The beers we tried were outstanding! The food was just as good. I would go there even if I didn't want a beer just for the food! Of course I would go there for beer even if I wasn't hungry.
The only thing I didn't like about the place is how far away it is from us. If you are anywhere near Gulfport, go to Peg's.

Great atmosphere, and beautiful people. My wife and I was refreshingly renewed. The quaint little town of Gulfport is both inviting and culturally diverse and will forever stand out as a spot to go and relax, have wonderfully brewed beverages, and mingle among friendy locals. My heart was full leaving and I am already planning my next trip. The Berlinere Bash is a can't miss event if you want to sample some unique brews like you've never experienced before.

I stopped by here this past weekend as I drove through the state and this place...I was here for about 30 minutes during Hunaphu, but didn't get a chance to taste the food or a seat at the bar. I'll keep this short, you have to check this place out. A seemingly hole in the wall strip of bars in Gulfport hides Peg's from outsiders. The place is small, inside bar sits maybe 10 people, probably 15 tables outside. The service is excellent, the beers are amazing (try a stout if they have any on tap) and the food is out of this world. I only wish it were closer. I'll be stoping by every time I drive down 75.

My wife and I discovered this gem shortly after moving to Gulfport, and have been there at least once a week since. Just a great atmosphere all around, and a great place to talk beer. The food is very good, portions are on the smaller side for the price, but I think it's ideal for lunch. The staff is awesome, always upbeat and friendly, and love talking about beer. I can't recommend this place more, and the barrel aged event that they host every year is a can't miss event.

I attended the Cycle Brewing BA release on Friday, March 8th.
Place was packed for the event, but Peg was gracious enough to allow the entire patio to be reserved for about 30 BAs doing a bottle share (epic, by the way). Our server was very busy, but friendly, prompt and accurate. The food might have been a bit pricey, but certainly not over the top, and it was delicious.
The beer was fantastic, of course. They had all different types of Rare and Rarer on, including coconut and chili versions.
The event was great, as was the food and beer and hospitality of the host. I would highly recommend Peg's to anyone who digs on beer and food.

We visited Peg's on March 2nd at about 1:30pm. There were only a few other people in the restaurant at the time. The service was good, as was the beer selection. The waitress was knowledgeable about the different beers that they had for sale. The Mexican themed menu is not extensive, but everyone in our group was happy with their meals. We enjoyed a second round of beer and hung out on the porch for a while enjoying the day.
Peg's serves their own Cycle Brewing beer as well as several other local drafts.
I would gladly recommend Peg's for a beer and a light lunch or dinner. Our appetizers and lunch for four with 2 beers each came to about $95.00.

Visiting the area, I was told this was a must stop. It certainly is. I wish I live in St Pete; I'd be at Pag"s a lot.
Peg's is a refurbished bungalow located on a nice street. Indoors is a bar with a few tables. There is a small enclosed room off the bar, and a latge outdoor patio. My party of six sat on the patio on a very pleasant late February evening. Loved the atmosphere, very laid back and relaxed.
Seven Cycle beers on tap. I had a couple Motueka APAs, very nice. My daughter enjoyed a Resolutionary Ale, which she really liked. The rest of the crew, for some reason, drank sangria. There were also three guest taps, and one import tap. A few bottles were available.
The food was excellent, and nobody was disappointed. There were many vegetarian/vegan entrees. Two of us had a vegerito burrito (vegan style), and loved it. We also had a sweet potato/black bean burrito, also great. The non-vegans had fish tacos and salsa verde enchiladas, and gave them two thumbs up.
Service was friendly and excellent.
Great beer, great food, great atmosphere. What could be better?

A: authentic craftsman bungalow is the focal point which lends itself to a cute, although small, indoor bar/eating area & more expanisve outdoor seating. very casual & relaxed. situated on a very cool, trendy street in Gulfport about 10-15 minutes from downtown St. Pete.
Q: i was very impressed w. the cycle brewing's beers: resolution and cream & sugar please. fresh, flavorful - just great beer. food was also top-notch, bit of an understated menu - but quality.
S: top-notch; the girls treated me well & seemed to really enjoy what they were doing.
S: 6 cycle brews; 4 guest taps; 5 bottle selections.
F: delicious; quality; simple.
V: pints were $5. given cycle brewing's scale and quality, however, the price point is warranted.
i wish i had a peg's in my backyard. this place makes me question packing up & relocating to the tampa bay area (there are other considerations, i realize). i guarantee there would be a steady, constant growler or two in our fridge. can't wait to go back.

Peg's was a short drive form St. Pete but weel worth it. The green oriented brewery has created some excellent beers, an exciting menu and an atmosphere to relish them in. Only steps to the beach and in a quaint downtown area, this home away from home is worth the trip.

Peg's was easily the highlight of my FL trip. The wife and I visited on the way to Tampa (coming from Boca Raton), and so much did I enjoy the place and their beer, that I made a point to go back one last time on the return journey.
Both times we visited, it was midday and not extraordinarily busy, but most patrons were seated in the relatively large outdoor area. Which was nice, but I preferred the inside bar. As far as atmosphere goes, a "cantina" is not really my thing. But this was so much different, especially since instead of Corona on tap, they had Funky DOS. Thanks. The inside bar is rather small and cozy, and there are a few tables as well. Decor is simple. Focus is on the important things: namely beer.
It may appear simple, but the quality here is top-notch. The beer is tremendous, and quite honestly, three of the beers I had from Peg's are among the best beers I've ever had (talking about RareR, Funky DOS, and Sun Explosion here). Their other rotational beers were also very good, and after sampling everything they had to offer, I would have more of anything if given the chance. Not a huge selection, but when weighing quality vs. quantity, I have no problem upping the selection rating a bit here.
The service was great. We had a great chat with Kristina about the brews, and the craft beer scene in general, and the kitchen staff even came out to check up and see if we liked the food.
Speaking of which, the food was also extremely good. I had the crab quesadillas, and my wife had some kind of shrimp skewer dish...I don't know what they did to those shrimp, but I don't think I've ever had shrimp so tasty in my life.
Prices were not bad. Maybe bordering on expensive, considering some of their heavier beers were not at all cheap. But WELL WORTH IT.
I don't like Florida in general, and I highly doubt I'd ever go back. But...I would come back JUST to go to Peg's and have the DOS stouts again. Please send me some.
